Not sure which posts you thought were hijacking the thread Gat-Po but I think the type of people who participate in the ownership clubs and their motivations are pretty relevant.

Whilst it's clearly far from the best thing in the world, companies do go bust every day and that doesn't necessarily make their directors criminals or even immoral. They've just failed, that's all.

I don't know much about Wrathall and none of us know what exactly what went on behind closed doors under the previous regime but certainly I've seen no evidence that any of them enriched themselves at the clubs expense, quite the reverse, they lost plenty of money.

It was very undiplomatic for sure to appear on the pitch but "disgraced director" is too strong, "failed director" yes.

One ex director came out of this relatively unscathed financially, Stapleton lost everything. On Pasoti one of the posters stated that Wrathall had approached JB with a view to putting money in return for a seat on the board ..... JB refused the offer !

I think that was a very wise move if it happened. If the ex-directors want to pay for a ticket and go and watch a match then personally I couldn't care less. If they get stick whilst there and are made to feel uncomfortable then that would be a bonus but to re-appear on the Board would truely be a step too far and I cannot ever see Brent falling for that one.

Hey guys and girls. Seasons greetings to you all. Haven't been on here lately, but I have been kicking up a storm on PASOTI. Fed up of the back-slapping clique and the inferrence that a few selective posters have insider knowledge, but don't want to share the knowledge, and a hundred sheep are ready to accept everything they say without question.

Take this Wrathall business. He was invited by the match sponsors, Devon Furniture Company, and was wined and dined by the very staff that went 10 months without pay, and then got to walk out onto the pitch that was never paid for to shake the players hands. Bit of a smack in the teeth for an awful lot of people. The Bigwigs on PASOTI like Ian Newell will tell all and sundry that the sponsors didn't know that Wrathall was given an invite? So who gave it to him then? They say they are not sure but it definitely wasn't the sponsors, so he must have broke in to the hospitality suite and got onto the pitch. It caused such a fuss that Ian Newell felt he had to defend the sponsors, who supplied his furniture coincidentally, and even posted a link to the sponsors website. When I questioned this my posts were removed as irrelevant and moved to the Junior PASOTI section as punishment. Mr Newell should not be crossed or PASOTI closes ranks and bans or censors anyone who questions his motives. And Ian Newell could soon hold a position of some power within the club and is basically a law unto himself and untouchable on PASOTI,as he is a moderator.

I tend to use Argyle Talk Democratic these days for a alternative view, where lots of posters also have inside information that contradicts what the masses believe on PASOTI. Not meaning to take people away from Not 606, as its a great friendly site, but there is always the opportunity to check it out and still post on here. There is a lot of banter with regards to PASOTI, but there are useful threads as well, and even Exeter fans post freely on there for a bit of light hearted banter.

Anyway hope you're all keeping well and hopefully I'll be looking in a bit more on here again from now on, as well as using ADT.
