Being able to make 5 substitutes is going to help with the altitude issue. I’m more worried about our complete lack of a right back and the state of our defence in general.

On paper they shouldn’t really trouble us. The altitude will have a real impact on us, particularly given the lack of preparation. Win or lose it will most likely be a poor performance from us and I expect they will put us under heavy pressure from the first minute and try to keep the ball. We will probably let them instead of wasting energy chasing around. They look a good and well drilled side too playing with lots of confidence. Potentially the toughest tie on this side of the draw to the final.

Quito is 9,300ft above sea level Mexico City is under 8,000 ).But La Paz in Bolivia is 11,900ft above sea level. That would be a killer.

We are going into the last 8, of that I am certain, in fact I’m that certain of it, I’m going to bed at 9pm Sunday and not getting up until 8am the following morning fully expecting an England victory…. Will then watch the full game totally without any stress….
