the word itself isnt racist, its orgins are deemed as racist due to it usage in america during slavery interestingly not all black people see it as derogatory, eg the NAACP etc as i have said its not the 'coloured' people anti it If anything the worst word being used for minorities is 'ETHNIC' The roots of which are 'heathen', not many know this though
