The complaint was probably made to UEFA as it will get peoples attention if UEFA sanction are place on the club and therefore get the chants to stop and everyone wins.

But the club clearly believe it was heard UEFA and the Police also, don't you think you are most likely wrong? Why would anyone have a problem with the Paddy song?

UEFA sanctions appear to have had a impact at Ibrox, not that I can say with any authority as I haven't been to Ibrox recently.

The situation at Ibrox is very different to that at Celtic Park.

Celtic released a statement clarifing it was the chant "oh ah up the ra" that they had been sanctioned for, rebel bhoy has also posted something today which say the police will take action to this particular chant. What more do you need?

we all thought that. Celtic even intimated as much. They clarified afterwards (although before the Udinese game).

Ooh aah up the Ra is not an "add on"

I think there is some misrepresentation going on here.
UEFA hearing, Dev, was not heard under Scottish law,
the hearsay evidence was not contested. The Celtic club
issued a statement saying they were surprised that they
were not told why the previous acclaimed fans were now
accused of illicit singing and they had not been informed.

Did Celtic issue the alleged statement before after UEFA made the decision.
If it was after UEFA made the statement then it would appear that Celtic were remiss not to attend the hearing.
Did the Celtic statement say that the Celtic board member (s) heard the specific chant or did they say that
UEFA informed them afterwards what the chant was.
I know our CEO, who refers to some of our fellow fans as bastards said, after the fine was announced that it must
be serious because of the size of the fine. This indicates that at that time he did not know what the chanting was.
Mr Lawell may then have contacted UEFA and was told what the police had reported the chanting to be.
So the good name of all Celtic fans has been tarnished by the uncontested possibly hearsay evidence. This has
then brought further shame to our club by the hoisting of banner and letting off of flares.
Celtic fans have worked very hard in the years up to Seville to be acclaimed the best in Europe and the best in
the World. Note it was the Celtic fans, not the board or management that got the acclaim.
Would it not be a shame to all decent Celtic fans if the Strathclyde Police aided by a compliant board took it from us.
Remember Strathclyde Police have either never heard, or never acted on the evil, bigoted singing and chanting from Ipox.
