Warnock had said after the game that he'd assured the players that he'd sort it all out in January. How many of them in the dressing room would have been encouraged by a statement like that especially following recent reports that he has sorted out two signings and two loanees? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence for the players who don't command a 1st team spot every week and can also lead to complacency from the "big" names. I think the problem goes deeper than our need to get a couple of extra players in the squad. Unless we sign quality that can make an instant impact then it is going to be a scrap until the end of the season hoping and praying that the likes of Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Wolves etc ship more goals and drop more points than us. The two hammerings we've taken (4-0 and 6-0) have knackered our goal difference and there is a lack of fire power to help redress the balance. Ditching the manager is a difficult one to judge. It might work for Sunderland but equally would it work for Blackburn? The killer is that when we have played our best, by that I mean passing and attacking football, it has opened us up in the defence leading to counter attack goals being conceded. For evidence just look at the two Manchester clubs when they played at W12, we got split apart with a couple of passes and good runs. I have doubted Gabbidon's talents and Connoly has never lived up to the promise he hinted at when he first came to us from Arsenal. One Size is not the answer either. As much as I'd love to see a top class striker sign in January I would be happier with a solid pair of centre half stalwarts to shore up the leaks. This will be a rather un-merry Christmas.
Wes Brown's previous Premier League goals: April 24, 2005, Manchester United 2 Newcastle 1 October 4 2008, Blackburn 0 Manchester United 2 All that terrific service from some superb Manchester United attacking teams, and all he managed was two goals in a decade. And yet he has a millimetre perfect header to score against us in the last minute - I take that personally.
FFS all you Warnock knockers, we are QPR, we aint Barcelona. Look back a few months ago. He has brought us to where we are now. We were never going to attract a Fergie, Wenger or Dalgleish when we got Warnock were we, and we probably never will. El Tel will always be my top boss, but I appreciate in Colin we have someone who has a bit of balls about him. Yeah tactics may be wrong now and again, but hey look at Chelseas past few weeks (shame) or Utd in Europe. Wake up, smell the coffee and get behind the lads now and forever ................. whereever we are and whatever division we are in, "we are QPR" Got my tickets for MK Franchise game today, and cant wait, and do you know what, couldnt be arsed if Colin plays a weaker team ............ coz the 11 on the pitch will be QPR Rant over, sorry
Warnock must stay, I think he will be more determined than anyone to keep us up as point to prove. We definitely need better a better defence, we all knew this when last window closed but have to work with what we have. I was never convinced when gabbidon signed and one size doesnt cut it, sometimes wonder if sticking Derry in there might help but that just shows how desperate times are!! Still sure we will stay up wolves and Blackburn definitely worse than us, we just need to get back on track with couple of wins and move up into the feel good zone of 11th/12th just look at WBA! Stay behind the team and Warnock - it will come good
Correct but his hand has been forced by some injuries at times but I agree he seems clueless at times and the play is either wonderful or dreadful We are in a state of transition but it's getting messy
