    we draft in Luuk De jong and Jan Vertonghen.

    Luuk De Jong should be a certainty after Maiga's failed medical and I have a slight inkling he will come and the rumors are that contact has been made with both Vertonghen's club (ajax) and also his representatives. Here is one of the most recent articles for Vertonghen.

    I'd be over the moon if we get De Jong and Vertonghen, and don't lose Tiote.

    I think teams will come in but it will be rejected as I don't think anyone will bid past 20 million and Ashley and co. won't accept anything less than 30 for him... they did the same with Amy and Tiote as a football player is on another level to him.

    Vertonghen would be amazing, be suprised if we do sign him. De Jong would be good as well

    If we get those two, plus possibly a LB (Cissokho would be great, bu don't mind if its just someone for cover) I'd be over the moon.

    The Modric saga in the summer proves that a chairman can hold onto his player. I don't see Tiote leaving, though Fletcher's injury has weakened my faith somewhat.

    The Lyon pres has told Aly that if he wants back in the France set up he must play in the UCL which Lyon are still doing.

    We're all Livin' on a Prayer with Tiote, but we should try to keep him Always. Certainly if he goes Ashley will be Wanted Dead or Alive - there's a man for which the phrase "You Give Love A Bad Name" was invented. I'm In and Out of Love with him myself, but I'll always Keep the Faith in Tiote. I just want to say to him "Lay Your Hands on Me" so that I can have him In These Arms. With him I just know Newcastle will have a Blaze of Glory, and I hope we Never Say Goodbye.

    But I don't see what heaven looking like New Jersey has to do with anything. <whistle>

    Mark Douglas also believes we're in for Vertonghen, he posted this to a fan on Twitter.

    @msidouglas... Sounds like a goer. Whether they actually get him, I'm not sure
