I think it’s likely that RDZ will use Gallagher in rotation with Madders as Xavi, Kulu and Odobert are doubtful to feature from the start of the season. There was some hopeful whispers about Kulu recently but even if he’s training by the time the season starts it’s going to take him ages to get up to speed. Plus him and Odobert are probably wingers first, not 10s. Xavi and Odobert likely not back until December-ish anyway, surely?

All to say, I don’t think it’s all 3 of the young CMs going, it’s probably 1-2 depending on incomings.
Yeah tend to agree. Think Sarr and Bergvall go and Gray stays. I still think Gray can be a top player.

As you say Gallagher at least first half of season will back up Madders until Xavi maybe Kulu returns.

I think Fernandes / Tonali is an either or, not both. And I'd rather sign the latter if that is the case.

I also think there is an outside chance Bentancur leaves this summer. I wouldn't mourn his departure. Player a key role in keeping us up, yes, but that is sadly his level these days - slightly better than relegation standard.

Per Alasdair Gold, De Zerbi has told Manor Solomon he can leave...so he won't be occupying our bench, then?
Feels like that was inevitable anyway, lol.

Better than Tel and Odobert though, mind.

Should hope for around £10m+.

Decent backup keeper.

Huge risk making Kinsky number one though. Hopefully the defensive reinforcements/ RDZ’s style lessens the burden on the keeper.

Thought he was really good after Vicario had his operation.
I think he made one serious mistake from memory but won us points v Leeds, Brighton and Wolves.

Was calm with his distribution,
Had a stinker against Newcastle in the League Cup, but given Frank's tactics seemed to be designed to knock 50% off the transfer value of goalkeepers I wouldn't necessarily use that match as a measuring stick

De Zerbi has seen him up close so I’ll trust his judgement but if I had my way I’d get a decent experienced keeper in this summer anyway and let them battle it out for number 1.

I think we should’ve loaned Kinsky out this summer, ideally Prem or Champ. Assess how he does over 38+ games then see if he can genuinely become number one.

He done ok at the end of the season but I’ve highlighted before how bad players can have good patches and suck fans in, Matt Doherty done this at the end of his second season, fans then wanted him to stay, we ended up cancelling his contract about 7 months later <laugh>.

The only plus point is that Kinsky or whoever is in goal for us next season should have a more cohesive system in front of them and help minimise any potential mistakes.

At the very least, we won't be inviting opposition players to have a shooting drill 25 yards out from our goal like Frank's tactics did

That alone is probably worth 8-12 points

Good backup keeper to have. Can’t be mad at that. Another smart free signing - what’s wrong with the club, making all these sensible decisions.
Annoyingly it means people who think Paul O'Queef is anything but a fraud will insist he's right, as he mentioned Dubravka was a target a couple of days ago

...in a post naming just about every free keeper, specifically Jason Steele and Karl Darlow
