I read a couple of James Patterson books on holiday recently (entertaining, but nothing special), then swapped them on the hotel book shelf for the Bob Mortimer novel The Satsuma Complex. That was quite entertaining, and I might read his autobiography next.

Usually just page turning thrillers..but recently have read a biography of Benidict Franklin...it seems the French were more than helpful during the war of independence ( something trump unlikely to mention)
Also a while back, Project Hail Mary, which is now a movie, haven't seen it yet. The author also wrote another couple of books which are not bad.
Yes, the French were very helpful, and one or two notable French heroes emerged. For quite a long time this was recognised in a semi official kind of way.
