BBC reporting we've had an £80m bid rejected.

Toon holding out for closer to £100m it seems.

Not sure who will blink first on this but they're plush with cash from the Gordon sale so aren't exactly in a corner.
On the other hand, the PIF has been turning off the tap for the past six months for most of their sportswashing endeavors, which is going to hit Newcastle right in the PSRhole

Isak, Gordon and possibly Tonali all in a year.

Toon ended their trophy drought and then went backwards
The story of the last two seasons for both Newcastle and Forest is pretty similar: punched way above their weight class a couple of seasons ago (helped in no small part by us and Man Utd being on snooze mode) and thought they'd moved up a level, only to drift back down to their level the following season as two games a week broke their squad

Compare that to Palace who remained consistent with the same criteria

Bergvall has reportedly informed the club that he wants to move on and seeks fresh challenge.

I wouldn't stand in his way. Awful injury record and aside from glimpses of quality here and there, his impact has been negligible and certainly not in line with the hype surrounding him.

There's a player in there, somewhere, but right now he looks totally lost.

Good source, hope he goes to Europe, there is a player in there for sure, but I for one am still not sure what he actually is, probably and an 8 but last season was a write off for him and maybe a fresh start would be the best thing. We should still make a profit on him which will make a change.

I’ve long said I’d sell every one of our young players anyway so I’m not too arsed. All of them may prove good/ great in the future and I’d say he’s the one with the highest ceiling but we just don’t have the time to wait after the seasons we’ve had. So far - Savinho aside - I back every single one of RDZ’s targets; Prem proven players who in theory should come straight into the side and immediately improve us:

I’d want at least £30m for Bergvall though.
£20m-£25m for Gray.
£15m-£20m for Tel.
Bag of chips for Odobert.

Not at all bothered if he leaves

The club has changed significantly since he signed and he probably realises he’s not gonna get a lot of game time as things stand.

As long as it’s at least double what they paid it’s a good deal.

Disappointed in his attitude if true. Thought better of him, but as others have said, I'm not fussed about him leaving, as long as we get good money for him.
I don’t think it’s him having a bad attitude or sulking.

He’s probably seen how things are under de Zerbi and realised he won’t get game time anytime soon as he’s still not Premier League level.

He could go to another decent league and get regular minutes and it will probably suit his style more too.
