I watched a bit of Morocco vs Brazil yesterday and I was very impressed with Morocco. Some of their football was quicker than watching a top premiership team.

Re: the Scotland game; one of the reasons given by Scots for supporting England’s opponents is the annoying pundits and news media harping on about us whenever we win.
The media reports of Scotland’s win over the mighty Haiti is actually really annoying, so perhaps I can see where they are coming from <laugh>
This is monumental for the Scot’s alongside beating the Isle of Wight.

Supercomputer predicts who will win the World Cup – and which footballer will claim the Golden Boot

I woder if our scouts are looking at the World Cup because I have seen some very good players that apparently ply their trade for some off the radar teams and could provide fodder for our new manager?

we wont be the only ones looking but like a cup final effort will show beyond the norm..........

one player missing is our YU would have made the squad!

Hopefully our recruitment team and manager utilize him... has shown what he can do!

Scots at it again.

The Issue

During the recent international friendly match between Haiti and Scotland, the officiating by the referee raised serious concerns among fans and spectators, including myself. As an ardent supporter who deeply cares about fair play, I was disheartened by what appeared to be a series of biased and inconsistent decisions made by the referee throughout the match.

Several pivotal moments during the game were marred by questionable calls that ultimately affected the outcome. Not only was there a controversial penalty awarded to Scotland, but multiple fouls on Haitian players went unpunished. Furthermore, the referee's leniency towards time-wasting tactics created an atmosphere of imbalance and frustration, both on the pitch and in the stands.

These actions undermine the very essence of football, which is built on the principles of fairness, sportsmanship, and respect. When the integrity of officiating is compromised, it not only disappoints fans but also unfairly influences the results, impacting team morale and the spirit of competition.

To ensure that this does not happen again, it is crucial that FIFA conducts a thorough investigation into the decisions made by the referee during this match. An official review will not only promote accountability but also enhance the credibility of the organization in upholding the game’s integrity on a global stage.

I urge FIFA to take this matter seriously and address the concerns raised by countless fans, to ensure that future games are officiated with fairness and precision. Stand with me in demanding accountability and help preserve the honor of our beloved sport by signing this petition.

Well, we got the job done.
Well done England and Tuchel - got the half time talk right!!
Croatia were no mugs and their experience showed. We also made things difficult for ourselves at times. I hate this pissing about at the back tactic - if you’re under pressure just fking boot it - but maybe I’m showing my age…..
Anyway, well done England.

. I hate this pissing about at the back tactic
IF YOU follow the [ not all ] movements from passing around close to the box [ always seemed pickford was in space to recieve] it gradually drew in and opened the way ahead and created opportunities for that raking pass that took off at speed into their box

England conceded and scored from the building (pissing) from the back. Its a hard watch, complex patterns around the box including bounces backwards just to find one player in space at full back, who then breaks a line (or not). I think it will have to be improved, sharpened, a more intense fitter opponent will expose England.

Up top great. Get it up there quicker.

I was thinking of buying up a load of Ghana and Panama football shirts and scarves - then head off up north to Edinburgh and sell them - whilst wearing an England top would be funny! I’d make a fortune!
I would buy a load of Morocco and Brazil shirts and try and flog them down here, but I doubt I’d sell many - the fans down here just aren’t that interested….

Scotland happy to sit back defend lose without a fight v Morocco and same same v Brazil finish third in the group and get through with the deflected shot.

England are the Three Lions and Scotland are the cowardly cousin.

Yet the good old impartial BBC are calling them men of substance and relentless, after losing to Morocco

Scotland fans hate England so I’m more than happy to see them come home on the next plans with their tails between their legs
