yeah he loved playing Everton <laugh>

also scored 2 v Barca in one of the truly great Anfield nights plus a CL final winning goal

weirdly for a bit part player he has quite a lot of memorable games in our shirt

Seemed a really great guy as well. Never kicked up a fuss and just seemed happy to be part of the squad. Shame he never quite pushed on as he came with huge promise.

Scored some big goals for sure and although was never the reason we won anything, he played his part. Does show that you don’t have to be the best player in the world to win over fan base - being a good guy and giving your all will make people
Remember you fondly.

Reports saying the pacemaker did it's job. The way he grabbed his chest beforehand didn't look great though

did exactly what it’s designed to do, and if he was 23 and starting his career could see it being a tough choice - stay and earn millions risking your health or retire and find something new to do. But he’s earned more money than he’ll ever likely spend - just quit and enjoy the next 20 years with a much lower risk.

As much I agree about him calling it a day and enjoying his life, just want to point out that not every is motivated by money; that's probably not be why he still wants to play.

Yeah, I doubt money is motivating him, but he could just love playing and that might tempt him to carry on. It's such a risk with his condition though, I agree he should look after himself and take it easy. He's had a good career - International, played for some decent clubs and Manchester United - not too shabby.

"Saturday night and I like the way you move ..... Divock Origi"

Scored some really important goals for us; the winner in the CL semi final that sealed our place in the final which we went on to win, being his best. A lasting iconic moment. Wish him the best of luck in his retirement.

Can’t forget the goal that sealed it in the final as well. Made the last 5 mins much more enjoyable at 2-0 although spurs never looked like scoring at 1-0

Yes, another important goal. As alluded to earlier, he was just happy to be at the club. He accepted his bit part role and sometimes those bits were the best bits in the whole game.

I think it shows what a good manager Klopp was. Origi bombed pretty much everywhere else he went but would always be happy to come on when we needed something and scored a lot of important goals. He even scored the equaliser against WBA which sparked the infamous Klopp telling the players to thank the fans moment.

Klopp was so good at making fringe players aware of the importance they have on the team - you may not play as often as you'd like but we WILL need to rely on you at points through the season, and you have to be 100% ready to play your part.

Absolute polar opposite to how Slot approached/treated the squad.

Also helps when you’re part of a winning team. Always going to be happier being a bit part player while your team is winning compared to sitting on the bench watching your team struggle every week

Everton, as Astro would say, bent as ****. Big thing is, though, if this is upheld AND City eventually do a plea deal on those 115 charges (big if, yeah), then the ramifications are....

If City are found to have broken rules, could other clubs sue them? If they are found to have cheated to get a top four place then could the team coming 5th each year sue for missing out on Champions league. The possibilities are endless, lawyers will be buying their mistresses better cars and jewellery on the back of all the possible actions.

It could get messy and equally ridiculous
