Simple, yet so key at SAFC:

...Le Bris spent two years as Lorient’s head coach before joining Sunderland – then a Championship side – in 2024. He arrived having already watched the infamous Sunderland ‘Til I Die Netflix documentary series.

“I watched it in Covid,” Le Bris says. “If you wanted to write a story about how to fail, it was all there with the recruitment and the management. But I was drawn to the passion of the supporters and how connected they were during a really difficult period. It showed you the strength of this community.

“That is something I was very aware of when I joined. We designed the game model after talking about the fans and the community, and what Sunderland stands for. For example, if you press hard, you will hear the crowd. They will respond and that is not the case in France.”

In that article Regis says “you are supposed to lose 10 points in the league when playing in Europe”. All I would say is, as a newly promoted side in the Premier League, you are supposed to go straight back down, so I have no fear and lots of trust in the club.
Finish 16TH, win the europa league, that’ll do nicely :emoticon-0100-smile

Still makes me cringe to this day watching Donald desperately trying to sign Grigg with the end of the window closing in.

I saw some clips of that series and couldn't bring myself to watch it. Only had to see the clip of Salmon Pants wanting to turn the run out to a rave to know it wasn't for me!

I think its the end I saw that clip and Maja being asked about leaving rumours. Some of the other bits I'm thinking are probably the first series!
