I suspect 25% of ENIC has bought him £500m minimum
Yes it's an absolute disaster to increase the value of the club by 50 times while delivering our best ever run of League positions and getting us to the Champions League final.I wonder how much more would have been worth, if he hadn't run it so badly in the last 10 years?

ENIC would have taken half that at the time they bought us.

They took the easy route of sacking the guy they thought would be popular with the fans while not understanding what the real issue was.If he hadn't failed in his role, his own business partners wouldn't have sacked him...would they?
As usual you resort to insults rather than logic.Such a fanboy
Get your tongue out of Levy’s arse
Still making the same mistake of assuming some random new owner will be better despite all the evidence to the contrary.Even if he was the fall guy for ENIC, the owners were clearly aware that he had built up enough of a reputation to be a valid fall guy as far as the fans are concerned.
They now have no one else to blame so they are OUT next
hopefully

I don’t think there’s really any evidence to prove if a new owner would be better or not, largely because 99% of new owners are going to be first time club owners, so you can’t judge based off of their past as there is none.Still making the same mistake of assuming some random new owner will be better despite all the evidence to the contrary.

If you want to explain what was incorrect in my post feel free.

If you look at any sport, the sixth best competitor rarely wins anything. The recent poor finishes can be explained entirely by injuries.Might not be better
I don't see the new owners being any worse though because we, the fans, won't allow it to get any worse. Our current owners despite some high points in the journey have neglected us into two consecutive 17th place finishes as things stand.
New owners would have 25 years to try to win 4 trophies to surpass ENIC. They would have entered between 75 and 100 tournaments in that time...a top 6 club with that 'success' rate is very very poor.
It's a low bar imo.
That quote has long been taken out of contextCould be both
Levy gone
ENIC next
between them they don't have a clue about how to elevate Spurs to the league title...that is our aim surely as is the aim of the other top 6 clubs.
What I believe people shouldn't be ignoring is the fact that when Levy n ENIC walked in, they admitted that sporting success wasn't their real drive but more a business opportunity and they weren't wrong...with plenty evidence to back it up.
You honestly don't think 'fanboy' and accusing me of arselicking are insulting? How is that insulting?
Logic?![]()
Well the new Chairman has no football experience at all and the new CEO has not communicated anything that suggests he has a plan to change anything that will actually influence results. Our only real hope is that de Zerbi is the real deal and that we have a return to fewer injuries and better recruitment.I know that you are dying on this hill, no matter what...
but claiming that ENIC (effectively run by Tavistock's people, an enormous, financially successful, world-wide entity) don't understand the issues at the heart of the club...and sacked the bloke that did, to appeal to a fan base that they've shown next to no concern for in the previous quarter of a century, is quite a stretch...even for you.
The simpler and true reason is that ex-COYS Daniel has been in decline for a decade, making poor decision, after awful decision, after dreadful decision, pissing away a fortune and royally ****ed the club...Just as I've been telling you for years...and they had to sack him...Just as I told you they would.
Since ENIC took over only three clubs outside the the then Sky 4 have finished in one of the top three places in the PL. Spurs, Manchester City and Leicester. No club other than those and the previous Sky 4 has won two trophies. Leicester are now two divisions down. ENIC are therefore easily the best performer as an owner except Man City. Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea are all doing worse than when ENIC took over. That's the evidence that says ENIC have been a better than average owner. As you say, any new owner will have no track record at all so it isn't logical to expect them to be better than average.I don’t think there’s really any evidence to prove if a new owner would be better or not, largely because 99% of new owners are going to be first time club owners, so you can’t judge based off of their past as there is none.
I think what it boils down to is are fans in full belief and trust of the current ownership? I’d say that nowadays especially, 90% of the fan base would say no and therefore rather someone new comes in.

What do you think the new management team are doing that will actually make a difference?
