Safe to say we were never gonna sign him permanently anyway (thankfully!).

The fact he managed to be a worse loan signing than Timo Werner is both impressive and shocking in equal measure.

Article says Juve see him as the ideal Vlahovic replacement who’s leaving on a free. I’d generally say that’d be a great freebie to pick up in a market full of really good freebies at the moment but seeing his reasoning for leaving Juve was via demands of wanting a higher salary and then *checks wages* to see he’s on over €400k a week, I’m not sure where he thinks he’ll get a better offer than that other than Saudi. I’d pay over €400k a week for Lewandowski but Vlahovic, whilst good, hasn’t proven he’s an elite striker yet.

Dutch reports are saying that our first offer was so serious for van Hecke (despite being rejected) that both clubs are now sitting down to finalise a deal and that it could be done before the World Cup.

Said it many times over the years; Dutch and Belgian media are basically as reliable as Ornstein, once they say something it pretty much happens. Very, very accurate.

The fact their statements boil down to "It was Levy, not us!" when their actions since September are starting to make large chunks of the past 25 years look like it was the board, not Levy that was the roadblock in transfer windows is getting increasingly hard to ignore

Could be both

Levy gone

ENIC next

between them they don't have a clue about how to elevate Spurs to the league title...that is our aim surely as is the aim of the other top 6 clubs.

What I believe people shouldn't be ignoring is the fact that when Levy n ENIC walked in, they admitted that sporting success wasn't their real drive but more a business opportunity and they weren't wrong...with plenty evidence to back it up.

Mauro Icardi is a free agent at the end of June.

He's also had a few injury problems at Juve. Or, to put it another way: 50 missed games in four seasons is not a stat for somebody wanting a pay bump if they didn't have elite goalscoring stats, which Vlahovic hasn't had since five years ago when he was at Fiorentina

Another odd detail: player I have spent 2-3 years saying we should look at Jonathan David would be headed to PSG in PartEx for RKM, as he's had a bit of a 'mare at Juve this season (but, then again, who hasn't?)

Didn’t even know that, didn’t see his name in the freebie list, was clearly being blind. This freebie market is seriously good this year, we could make 5-6 signings from it and they’d be genuinely good additions.

Yeah Juve’s had a real mare.

The fact Lloyd Kelly, a player we were linked with to join as a third/ fourth choice CB a couple years ago has been one of their starting CBs this season epitomises said mare. They once had the best defensive trio in Europe at one point with Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli.

Yeah there are a few big names in the list this year.

Senesi
Dybala
Icardi
Vlahovic
Wilson
Goretzka
Brandt
Kamada
Christensen
Brozovic
Lewandowski
Pellegrini
Carvajal
Robertson

Among others.

We could basically replace our entire team for free and it would be an improvement.

Surely we should sign Brandt to wind up that weird Leverkusen fan who posted on here years ago, wistfully dreaming of the day Bayern would sign him

Interesting development, PSG are reportedly open to allowing Bradley Barcola to move this summer.

His agent is Moussa Sissoko. Not, not our Moussa Sissoko, sadly.

Bigger clubs already interested but this is the sort of target we should at least move mountains to try to land. Solves LW for the next 10 years.

Interesting perspective....

Not got time atm to watch that but is it do with van hecke and Senesi being ball playing centre backs with better data than Romero and Vdv? as I saw a table with some stats and suggestions that is how de Zerbi wants his defence to operate.

My immediate thought: what's wrong with him?

Has he been working in nuclear reactor cores without a hazmat suit?

Short answer: nothing, he just can't get a sniff with Kvara in the form he's in.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm...not sure that "nothing" is quite the word, given Barcola has drawn a lot of criticism (along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adil Rami) for his supporting and donating to the streaming group Lokal, who are notorious in France due to literally working Jean Pormanove to death live on stream last year

A player's value (to Spurs or anyone else) is entirely independent of whether they are under contract. The only difference is that the player receives the full value rather than sharing it with the selling club. So if there is competition for a player the amount paid out by the buying club should be the same whether or not there is a transfer fee.

Seems to be a very good start to the transfer window for Spurs.

Senesi and Robertson two astute signings and hopefully we will be adding Van Hecke who is a top young defender that RDZ knows very well.

Van Hecke and Senesi must of had assurances for regular game time and with roughly one game a week next season it does make you wonder if we might line up with a back three next season or possibly move VDV to LB ??

Romero is obviously going , Dragusin moved on and strong rumours Vuscovic going out on loan it would still be surprising having Van Hecke, VDV, Danso and Senesi vying for just two spots in a back four . We all want strength in depth but there’s not many games to go round next season.

Savinho is said to be pretty much signed so after that we still need a ball playing CM, CF , GK and ideally another wide attacker ( unless we line up as 3421 .

Based on the signings, as well as some comments De Zerbi has made, I am mildly concerned that 3ATB could be making a return as something other than a tactical switchup
