I’m pretty happy with this.Yes it may have been at a lower level than the Championship, but he has a winning mentality, and has got unfancied teams promoted - which is crucial in a manager.
I am too but the farting around with Elphick is annoying and again puts the club in a pretty poor light imho

It’s like well we didn’t get who we wanted so we’ll settle for someone else instead

Let’s hope it’s a great appointment, as the guy is a proven winner, albeit at L1 level

Welcome to BS3 Michael may your stay be long and successful

I've got to say Tommy Elphick did lead us a song and dance but I do respect him for telling us to do one, he may have knocked the complacency out of certain individuals and we have got a man with management experience, success and he still wanted to join us at 2nd time of asking, welcome MS, let us hope you take us to the next level

Did Elphic get the impression we was going Skubela and moved himself out of the running rather than actually rejecting an offer? We seemed to move very quickly and Boss said at senior reds yesterday “don’t believe what you read in the press”
MS and Ellis are friends from some college training thing.

Plus people (not aimed at you Wiz) are forgetting he was Bielsa’s training set up at Leeds so he’s no newbie.

Correction Jessie Marsch not Biesla

We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, we’ve got our new manager now, he certainly did a good job last season that’s for sure.
The main positive for me is who chose him. I have much more faith in Boss, and in particular Ellis than the previous numpties.

Now we need to get the players contracts sorted out, move on any that don’t want to sign, and bring in replacements, including sorting out a new keeper promto.

True, we've got a Boss, a Ellis, a Skubala and a Lansdown snr and baby, I admit to being a bit withered and creased, I am not either a Reform or Restore type so that must make me a non event.. <laugh>

After our usual questionable hiring process we have landed our new guy and I welcome him aboard the good ship Bristol City. :emoticon-0137-clapp He appears to me to be a good footballing head that will either succeed or fail but it's what goes on in between those scenarios that matters and let's hope he has a long and successful tenure. :emoticon-0137-clapp

Lincoln were an attacking, entertaining and free scoring team to watch for the last few seasons, especially the season just gone when they walked L1 with games to spare

I hope that is also Skubala’s plan for City and he’s given a few decent players to help deliver it

Lincoln only lost 5 games all season and played full on football and if that is Skubala's philosophy then bring it on. I think we were all getting sick and tired of our lack of style or flair so perhapps like the chameleon we too can change our colour from beige.

What’s this full on football? Looked at one Lincoln site and it looks like low possession counter attack and v good at free kicks and corners???

Gotta be careful about this stuff change a few letters around and Skubala ball becomes Baulsak ball!!!

did a flash back on 5 games MOYLAN AND HACKETT were usually in a 3 behind lone striker [ street or one ] couldnt find a player 9 on his shirt.
ONLY had 1 x 0 - 0 draw scored at least 1 every game!

They beat us twice on next to no posession.
Very much a counter attacking team.
Happy to play without the ball.
Very effective at what they did though. Finished the season with a run of 29 games unbeaten. Longest unbeaten run in L1 ever.
Like us, no stand out goalscorer. Their goals came from all over.
