West Ham did what they needed to. Everton let them down.

West Ham did what they needed to. Everton let them down.

Trouble was they didn't do what they needed to do in the rest of the season.

Spurs not much better but they accumulated more points and a better goal difference early in the season.

Spurs gathered a good portion of their points late in the season. 11 from 15, while West Ham only picked up 6 from 15. That was the difference.

Spurs had one point I think under Tudor. They started the season well with Frank but then injuries decimated the squad, Frank's style and methods were not popular and he lost the dressing room.

Yes they got 11 points in the last 5 games but were generally up sh1t street without a paddle from November until RDZ arrived.

He made the difference with the same players and the return of 3 or 4 from long term injury plus Vicario got injured so he had to play Kinsky who saved the draw v Leeds and ensured the win with Everton's only shot on target today.

I just had to go and look at all our familiar competitors

Looking at that list BT, I've noticed we've again got the 5 "Bs" jinx to contend with like last season. Birmingham, Blackburn, Bolton, Bristol and Burnley.

Strangely enough, there 5 "Ws" as well - Watford, West Brom, West Ham, Wolves and Gogs........<laugh>

How will this affect the fotunes of the two teams?
I can see Lincoln's expected finishing position falling.
I'm sure the Bristol board will be crying out for 'a bigger name'.
Not sure why, after the season you've just had, you'd move to a team in the middle of the table of the league you've been promoted into. Might as well stay where you are and show what you can do. Then wait for a team higher up the food chain to come calling.

That is a strange one; thought they’d offer Woy a 5 year contract <whistle>

Well he did the double over us last season - he better not do it again this season with the Wurzels!
I wonder how their supporters will take to his brand of football.

Thinking about it, he does seem a bit like a reincarnation of Colin. A basic game plan, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, gets the best out of 'average' players.

Perhaps Brizzle are Skubala's type of people.
Great club. He's always liked them.

Clearly the Wurzel's directors sold him on their ambition and funding.

I wonder how he will feel January time?

Will any Licoln players follow him?

I guess if he improves the on the pitch thier Dan's will be happy. Regardless of the style of football - or lack of it.....

Well, for a short while anyhow.

Fans will turn a blind eye to terrible but winning football.
The moment results start to drop off though you can guarantee the "rubbish" football will be brought up as a reason for losing then and the manager will be a clueless appointment that showed no ambition by a board and owner who have lost interest.
