Off to see The Ruts @ The 100 Club tonight. The support is General Saint, who supported them the last time I saw them.
I saw him and Clint Easteood in '82 and was quite looking forward to seeing him again...I won't be making that mistake again.

I saw Clint Eastwood and general saint once back in the 80s ,about the time the had the " hit" stop that train , General Saint was that stoned that he was helped on stage and was propped up against a speaker and some chairs , did not move a muscle for the whole show , thankfully the show was cut short
Went for a couple of Lime and sodas before last night's gig, in The Champion. Drinking with Eugene Butcher (prioriter of Punk/Post Punk coffee table magazine, Vive Le Rock and fervent admirer of Mrs B) was Kenny Jones....yes, the actual ex-Small Faces/Faces/Who drummer. Wow!! He was with a bloke who I recognised but couldn't put a name to.

I have just seen the sad news that Bob Harris is stepping down from radio 2 to bad health , Whispering Bob and The Old Grey Whistle Test was a massive influence in my music journey, late Tuesday night's I got my 1st sight of Bob Marley, Dr Feelgood, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Talking Heads, so may pub rock bands ,Prog bands ,folk and the famous videos

Sorry to hear that Bob's not well. My love of SAHB was tied into their fabulous performance on TOGWT.
Bob wasn't having TNYD, so punk was never going to get the look in that it so desperately needed, with him at the helm. It's a shame that Radio 1 and TOTP wasn't brave enough to do something similar, but BBC2 wS always open to the weird and wonderful, before it was commercialised and popular.
