I had a quick look earlier on when I switched channels and I'm surprised they're even claiming that many,it looked near enough empty. The attendance was 56,000, the lowest crowd for a Wembley Final in 80 years.

100%,they're entitled to a week in the sun and if the owners paying, why not...Wish I'd have been invitedBetter a tosspot than some of the ****bags on here who begrudge our players a celebratory drinks fest this week, they put the cur in curmudgeonly.
It's our time.
Agreed, there was never 50k there, the RFL have been known to inflate attendances in the past, but that one wasn’t even remotely convincing.I had a quick look earlier on when I switched channels and I'm surprised they're even claiming that many,it looked near enough empty.
Your invitation must have got lost in the post.100%,they're entitled to a week in the sun and if the owners paying, why not...Wish I'd have been invited![]()
That pic was crass100%,they're entitled to a week in the sun and if the owners paying, why not...Wish I'd have been invited
The only thing that didn't really sit right with me was a picture I saw of them all on the plane with big wads of money in their hands but I wouldn't make a song and dance out of it![]()
And twisted back to 'a drinks fest'. That is all.Lol "it's not wise for a professional athlete to drink until he passes out" has now been twisted to "the players aren't entitled to a holiday"....
If people look at that picture correctly it's not about their own money. They're talking about having transfer money now after the embargos. That pic was crass
It’s rare you’ll find me defending Rovers fans, but in the last 12 months or so they’ve had, 2 Wembley trips, 1 Vegas trip, 1 Old Trafford Trip, 1 Magic Weekend trip (and have likely also bought for the upcoming one), 3 trips to France, 2 neutral venue semi-finals and the World Club Challenge.Wembley holds 90k - the upper bowl holds abou 40k, which was almost empty - couldn't see how many were in the Rovers part - but there were many empty seats in lower bowls too - I'd be surprised if there were many more than 40k overall - very disappointing really - more seem to want to attend magic weekend at Evertons ground in early July - this is the first year they've moved Challenge Cup from later in the season - I think that decision failed - about time it was moved 'up Norf' and bin off Wembley or move it back later in the year when it's not competing with football / play offs at Wembley the week before not to mention a large contingent flying off to Las Vegas - it's too much

Our Wembley trip last week won’t have helped as well.
That’s thousands for an individual and tens of thousands for families, it’s just not sustainable for a fanbase in a relatively low income area of the country.
Fair play to them, it’s a nice problem to have, but I wouldn’t throw shade on them for the attendance yesterday.
I’m not sure what Wigan’s excuse is!

Thanks AT, couldn't have put it better meself and coming from an FC fan meant more. The RFL are now saying it was 56,383 which looked to me from the TV coverage as them padding the numbers.Wembley holds 90k - the upper bowl holds abou 40k, which was almost empty - couldn't see how many were in the Rovers part - but there were many empty seats in lower bowls too - I'd be surprised if there were many more than 40k overall - very disappointing really - more seem to want to attend magic weekend at Evertons ground in early July - this is the first year they've moved Challenge Cup from later in the season - I think that decision failed - about time it was moved 'up Norf' and bin off Wembley or move it back later in the year when it's not competing with football / play offs at Wembley the week before not to mention a large contingent flying off to Las Vegas - it's too much
Lowest in 8 years not 80 - Catalans Warrington was only 50k in 2018The attendance was 56,000, the lowest crowd for a Wembley Final in 80 years.
I think the point was it was lowest between two English clubs for a very long time.Lowest in 8 years not 80 - Catalans Warrington was only 50k in 2018
I was surprised at how bad Rovers were.
All the national headlines are saying it was lowest Wembley Final crowd for 80 years. Besides that comparing Catalans with Wigan and HKR, supposedly 'Two of the biggest names in British Rugby League' as the BBC kept reminding us yesterday is hardly a fair comparison.Lowest in 8 years not 80 - Catalans Warrington was only 50k in 2018
It was horrendous.wondering what bans they will give for the Wigan tackle on Leyland - probably the most dangerous I've ever seen, lifting him upside down and ramming his head into the floor
