Can’t be allowed to drag on. If he wants to go & Fulham are happy to pay the compensation then we should get the deal done asap to allow a new manager to come in, assess the squad and bring in the players he wants. Personally, I think he will stay. He knows he will not get sacked here, it’s his team and (not a small thing) he has a youngish family who I presume are settled in Ipswich. If he stays and keeps us in the PL, his stock is only going to go upMcKenna the bookies favourite for the vacancy at Fulham. Is this the summer he’s finally tempted to depart? I’m sure we’ve got a contingency list of candidates ready, but they’re going to be some big shoes to fill if he does leave.
It’s a non story until it’s a story, not worth worrying about.McKenna the bookies favourite for the vacancy at Fulham. Is this the summer he’s finally tempted to depart? I’m sure we’ve got a contingency list of candidates ready, but they’re going to be some big shoes to fill if he does leave.
We could well do with a Pope between the sticks in the Prem!Nick Pope strongly linked to us. We’ve got competition with Leeds for his signature (steady Spanish).
He’s got bags of Premier League experience and was a former Town academy lad. Apparently he had a season ticket at Portman Road when he was a kid. Goalkeeper is an area where we probably need better competition for Walton and Pope fits the bill.
Only concern is that he has struggled a bit in the last couple of years. But in terms of experience, the Town connection, and being able to bring in a credible first teamer - I think it’s a no brainer. Hopefully the fee isn’t too high but looks like Newcastle are keen to sign a new keeper for £24 million, so Pope definitely looks like he’s on the move.
5mThe majority of Leeds fans are hoping the Pope rumours are fake, he has been pretty bad for a while now. https://www.themag.co.uk/2026/03/the-problem-with-nick-pope-newcastle-united/
Have a read of this Newcastle fan, you’ll be surprised at how he has lost it and at 34 years of age and a £24m price tag, it’s a hope he doesn’t join us
And we're supposed to be interested in this, why?Sporting CP star Ousmane Diomande age 22 a CB 6' 3" fee would be £43m he would like a move to the PL but not asking for a move as he is content at Sporting. I can't see us paying that kind of money unless we can recoup a lot by selling Struijk, personally I would prefer to keep Struijk after the season he has had and use the £43m elsewhere
Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh a 19 year old left footed CB for Tromso fee £5m and Koln in Grermany want him but they need to raise funds first - This sounds plausible specially if we can get Struijk to sign an extension
Leeds United are set to sign 16 year-old winger Silva Mexes from Manchester United. They signed him from Ipswich as a 14 year old, he is the son of former Wales striker Rob Earnshaw. This was first reported two months ago, he is free to move and sign a second scholarship deal.
We can forget West Hams Fernandes he has an £80m price tag and Liverpool are tempted
Haha sorry mate, I had two tabs open and posted on your transfer thread rather than ours, will edit and apologiesAnd we're supposed to be interested in this, why?
