Wasn't Tuck supposed to be one for our future?

No idea. Long since given up the idea that anything reliable comes out of the mouths of the club's spin doctors. Anyway they've had their chance and need to make way for the next crop of youngsters eager to come to us. Rather than Chelsea or Arsenal.

Alfie Tuck is 20 and hasn't really got near the first team... He is same age as Morgan and Vale is only 22 too.

Pearman, Sutton, Scarlett and Puttman are coming through..as well as Izak the Swedish kid.
We also need experienced players in there to cool the kids down. There is no room for Tuck

Additionally they would have had to put Tuck on an adult contract and then loan him out and hope he blooms. ( and new rules make that difficult...can't expect a L2 to pay much of a Championship players wages)

Or clear the ranks now....which is the decision now

I think it is fair on the lad. He will be picked up I am sure

I expect we’ll be praying one of Nourry’s Niños isn’t complete ****e but I saw McNamara the right-back we wanted a year or two ago from Millwall has been released. Perhaps a cheap option. Expect Ipswich will be looking to bin Darnell so perhaps a loan option there.

I can’t think of an alliteration like Busby Babes for our crop of youngsters. Nourry’s Niños will do for now.

Report linking us with Adama Sidibeh the Stockport striker. I watched the League One play off on Sunday and he was a proper handful with pace and power, scoring one and having another cracking finish ruled out. May be worth a punt...

Saw that. Had assumed he was young but is 27 and was playing low non-league two years ago. If we were to go for him you’d assume that was as a replacement for one of the strikers. I’m still hopeful Obikwu is a real person.

Probably not the demographic that Norray is looking for.
Not much sell on ability. And a bit of cost for just a bit player. Although we do need real cover for Kone

We need someone better than Kone if you ask me.
I think you/we need to remember that this was Kone's first season at this level. My expectation is that he will improve and has already shown ability.

It was also Burrell, Mbengue, Bennie, Poku, Adamson first season.
Morgan, Vale and Dembele(due to injuries)are only just starting out and we haven't seen what Obiku can bring.
Taking this into account our season was pretty good and I can see growth for the first time in several years.
Onwards and upwards

I like Kone a lot, he works really hard and he knows where the goal is. However, he's poor in the air and he has no pace. It's hard to see either of those things changing with more experience.

I like your general optimism about the squad, though.

I agree that he is not the fastest but I hope his general awareness can make up for lack of pace, and fed off Burrell's pace when he was fit.
However, I do think he can head a ball reasonably well the problem in that area is that he is too short to compete with taller defenders and unfortunately he does not possess a springy jump. We can only hope for a growth spurt over the summer!

Multiple sources are reporting that we are interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Ivan Nevistić.
