How is what Tonda did, in anyway not seen as gross misconduct or bringing the clubs reputation under scrutiny? How is this anything other than a blatant sackable offence? You would get sacked in any other line of work for this. It's incredible to me that this is seemingly the only corner of the internet that is trying to defend the man.
Are you able to separate sport from say, your place of work?

So in this sport there are rules. We broke those rules and got punished severely.

I do imagine the FA will ban him on top, that isn’t out of this world to think that will happen.

But the club received sanctions that have been dealt with.

I get you have a different take on this. That is also ok :emoticon-0148-yes:

Oh and “only corner of the internet” <laugh> that is gonna amuse me all day.

Tonda is the very man that broke those rules. Multiple times. You could argue how is it fair that only the club get punished and not the very man who did the crime?

Yea I don’t disagree but I don’t believe those around or above him didn’t know about it.

Secondly, we had our punishment. Why should we get yet another punishment on top?

I’m sure others knew, but him taking the blame and “authorising the spying” (the BBC headline) makes his job basically untenable now. There is already stuff floating around in disbelief he hasn’t been sacked already

This will all be seen as part of the same process of moving on from this. We will never be able to move on whilst Tonda is still here. There is absolutely no chance he is in charge at the start of next season, the question is when he goes not if. I think it’s almost a certainty he is getting some kind of ban anyway, and hopefully the FA decide on that pretty fast

The longer this silence goes on, the more I think that there is a possibility that the club will try to fight any FA charge and defend Tonda and keep him on. After all, the so called defence of this was flippant and the club’s argument was that it was not that serious therefore “why should we sack the manager?” It might possibly explain the complete silence and apparent lack of urgency.

All I know that there is enough of a media witch hunt, without the fans turning on him.

Will you only be happy if we sack him immediately and maybe chuck him in prison for 10 years in solitary confinement?

He is a kid FFS, 33 years old - younger than most footballers retire. Yes he screwed up

Thank **** you weren’t around during my career in my early 30s!

We all Make mistakes. It is not the making of the mistakes it is how we learn from them in life. Not everything is binary. There is middle ground how you deal with them.

Parsons in the other hand is the CEO of a company and should be the one dealing with this and dealt with it better. A lot better.

Silence with a lack of urgency could be the title of SR's autobiography.

One other thing. My way of running a team is that we have success as a team and fail as a team. Tonda has held his hand up to protect the analysts. Parsons should take responsibility over Tonda. It’s on his watch.

Maybe that’s why we’ve got radio silence.. they’re deciding who to take ultimate responsibility

Whilst I agree that Parsons should get binned over this, Tonda is ultimately the most public facing employee at the club, even though those above him are his bosses. He will definitely go, the club can’t keep him on

Why the **** would we want to get rid of our best manager since Koeman willingly?!

Talking about Scott Parker is more than enough to check out of football again. We've had our fair share of nice but dim Tim's. I can't bare to have boring football again. I want the ruthless prick who will do anything to win and wind up the oppotion. Next time another manager tries to tap up one of our best players in Blackpool I want Tonda waiting to stare the ****er down.

I do think so, but maybe we haven’t binned him yet as they dont want to prejudice the FA investigation

I absolutely agree with all those pointing out why we should keep him and I honestly don’t think he has done anything evil. However the FA will definitely ban him and if they miraculously didn’t he would just be a sideshow every week with prezzers, tv interviews and the constant target of oppo wums. Shame but untenable

Yeah I think they are waiting for that to happen, they may have been told a time frame for the investigation.

Something else which hasn’t been mentioned is if the club keeps Tonda I can see sponsors not being too happy with all the negativity it will cause in the press. The club will have to consider the likelihood of this aswell if they do want to keep him on.

Agree with it or not he has been labelled a cheat in the media and that will stick long term. I just don’t see how the club can continue to be associated with him
