I don’t know how much enthusiasm for footie I have at the moment given the car crash that is HCAFC, but maybe that will change as the season gets going.

Anyway, I’ve renewed the league for 24/25. Just a warning, it didn’t seem to want to let me register my club this year without selecting a PL club, so I seem to be stuck in the Wet Spam fan league. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Just a reminder, 48 hours to go. We've got a respectable league of 28 teams so far, but always room for more.
 
Novice here....TBH I've never attempted this. What's the score...Do you pick a load of larkers and gain points by how well they do? MotM, top goal scorer. Best keeper, defence etc...What's the max you can choose from one club..?

Basically you get a budget of £100m, and you pick a squad of 15. Tactics like do you spend it on a marque player like Salah or Haaland and then a load of journeymen like Xhaka. Or go for a more even spread of "good" players. Think it's maximum 3 from each club.

the people who are good at it tend to take it quite seriously and study form and have spreadsheets and algorithms etc. Whereas I approach it like picking a runner in the Grand National - based on instinct, heart (quite a few ex-City players) and I don't study form other than watching MoTD. Unsurprisingly, my team has been rubbish and near the bottom of the league past couple of seasons! It's just a bit of fun for me.

Well done to the winners of the Hull City not606 league and cup. Next season will have a new dimension - will renew as usual and post at the time.
