Howe confirms there will be no change in recruitment strategy this summer

Because of Schar, or something else? Keeping Schar probably makes sense, as Thiaw is clearly first choice and he wasn’t saleable anyway. What would make zero sense is avoiding selling the likes of Murphy, Willock, Wissa, Pope if offers come.

He was asked about the type of player profile they'd be looking to recruit. He said he was aware there's stories of a different approach, but he said that won't be the case as far as he's concerned.

Ah well, he can dig his own grave then. Shame, and it’ll be another wasted summer but then I’m getting past really giving a ****.

Don't think Wissa will be off either. I think they will stick with him after having a full preseason

Agree. I think it’ll just be more of the same. Hopkinson wasn’t an elite appointment, neither was Wilson and everyone seems subservient to Howe.

We might get another backup keeper instead of Ramsdale, but Pope will stay. We will do the usual and get a handful of subs in spite of the early summer window optimism. Howe has again spouted off about early signings, he did it last year. Hes quoted as saying he’ll want more relegated players or pl cast offs. And he’ll be delighted he doesn’t have to go to those awful foreign places this season.

After this season, I honestly think I would be happy for all of them to go except maybe Bruno and Hall. The feeling for that group of players compared to this time last year is like chalk and cheese.

And as for Howe, I cant stand his pre and post match interviews any more. I just get angry.

Thank god there is a world cup that will stop me festering on NUFC.

After last summer's efforts, it's hard to be optimistic that we'll achieve anywhere near the same level of recruitment that Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton seem to hit most years.

But some have to leave first. I'd put Ramsdale, Gordon, Willock and Elanga in taxis first.

I hope we acquire a goalkeeper, right back and centre forward / right winger as priority.
