Yeah good set of fans all the Boro fans I met, didn't see any nob heads pre or post match on either side, there was v much a shared appreciation that Southampton weren't there which helped
Agree
All seemed fine to me and we ended up having a chat with some in a boozer around midnight.
Pleased for us and acknowledged they struggle to convert chances so it wasn’t unexpected

We probably won’t sign him permanently but Hirakawa’s decision to go on the outside of the Boro defender and cross in with his weaker left foot won us the game as much as McBurnie’s great instincts. A lot of wingers these days would’ve slowed the game down to check back inside and ‘recycle’ possession. It wasn’t even a great cross and Brynn should’ve done better with it but you get my point.

I hate ‘ball-retention’ wingers.

I was saying to my dad, I wonder how much will come in now from sponsors to add to the kitty.... I see MKM just upped their sponsorship (just in time as it happens) .. the interest globally will ramp up again especially from Turkey...
I said back when McVite owner pulled his sponsorship when Liam failed to get us in the top 6 that he may well come back if we reach the EPL. I see he was with Acun at the game, so you may see them back.

I was in level 2 yesterday it's brilliant in there well worth paying the extra for .
I didn't know they had pubs)bars in there . Leather settees it's excellent .
Was sat having a beer with 3 guys from Liepzig they where supporting City they just love football .
They said they. Thought they might as well do all 3 matches .
Really nice guys
Bumped into quite a few Boro fans in bars and along the way and all were friendly and wishing us well, got the feeling most considered it a bonus free hit that didn't work out. Also randomly 3 Norwegians who had come over for all 3 play-off games. Nice blokes, didn't think they were going far in the WC even though they have Harland.

I Don’t think I’ve ever seen a city team with such togetherness. They seem like a bunch of mates who stick together and dig in when needed and support each other when needed. Re the Adele song if it brings them together right now then that’s part of this year’s incredible season.
To some it’s not cool but I have no problem saying I belted it out yesterday at Wembley alongside old mates who grew up on the Jam/ Joy Division/ Stranglers/Smiths.
On days like yesterday anything goes..
I've got a really deep sexy voice today :1980_boogie_down: sadly I'll be back to squeaking tomorrow :emoticon-0132-envy:

He's entered the pantheon with Fraizer Campbell and Robert Snodgrass, thou shall assist from the left and we shall win 1-0.

I said recently that occasionally I would like to see in games Belloumi and Millar change wings as a winger getting to the byline and crossing means the ball often is going away from the keeper and towards the income attaker. Yu was a perfect example.

Ye, I mean it's just not going to happen is it.

Acun will end up bringing Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos out of retirement who will play three minutes a game each, we'll beat arsenal at the Emirates, sign some nutter from the Turkish League who will become a cult player and then spunk millions on a young fringe England player, who will get a career ending injury in his first appearance and we will all spend the rest of our lives bemoaning what could have been.
Happy to accept all of that providing we beat Arsenal at the Emirates.

It is a perfect example of the benefits of going outside, there was the one first half which Millar put in for coyles header too, as a full back, playing up against a wrong footed winger you are expecting the to cut inside, which makes it slightly easier for them to go outside, play Gelhardt or belloumi on the left and the defender is doing everything they can to block the outside and push them inside instead so it makes it that much harder for them to go outside

what I'm trying to say is....keep them on the wrong footed wings but work them hard on their wrong foot delivery and going outside

The junction of Ennerdale/Sutton Road for me at around 3.30...Its a shame Sutton Fields had to burn down, or I'd have been in there for a swift one, or three. I hope Victoria Square is rammed and it's a great occasion for those who make it to show their appreciation to the lads for doing what they have achieved. Absolutely an amazing achievement for a set of lads written off as no-hopers from minute one.
