Haven’t been on here a while or been to many matches this season due to a lot of ****e going on in my life, think I’ve only used my season ticket 7 times. Gutted I’m not there today.
Just wanted to pop on to say what a ****ing team. Absolute mentality monsters. Credit to the backroom staff for the recruitment model and it’s been said a million times before but this addition of Xhaka and what he brings in terms of that mentality is for me by far the signing of the season in the PL. Mukiele really impressive too love his attitude and feeds off Xhaka.
These lads deserve their flowers. Some from L1 have stepped up massively and the others have had to embed quickly to adapt to the huge uplift in quality and none of us could’ve expected how well this season his gone. I remember the L1 days where the stadium was half empty, the town was dead every home game. People were fed up, supporting the club felt like a chore. The first half today we looked like we were playing for the title. This isn’t a hot and cold team it’s a team who leave absolutely everything on the pitch and they’ve got what they deserve. What a turnaround and what a day for Sunderland AFC. European football will transform this club. The players we can attract, the money we can spend.
