The last two games should've seen six points safely tucked away. Demba is doing his job ...

Was the opposite on saturday really. Ba didn't do his job (played great but didn't score) tonight he scored and we defended like blind tortoises.

This! It's all fallen apart. We can all continue to blame Obertan but the fact is as soon as our defence was split through injuries we don't have good enough replacements to step in. Pards needs to sort this in January and QUICK!

To be fair that's a bit unfair on Ba, we were desperately unlucky on Saturday not to score and Vorm was on form.

Ba has been brilliant recently unfortunately we have too many poor players and we cannot have any ambitions to finish anything other than top 10 even that is questionable think our luck early part of the season has totally deserted us what I cant understand with the financial things is why Ashley is so reluctant to loan players just think a decent forward coupled with two defensive loans for the likes of Man City defender on sorry the one that played for the mackems cant spell it would see us through till the end of season unfortunately it will be one player which is not enough it is just so frustrating because with a little ambition we could remain seventh which in my eyes would be some achievement.

It's not now though, the fact that one player is injured and we can't defend shows our lack of a squad.

Yes it's squad depth so therefore our lack of good replacements.

I love that there's a full stop right at the end, it's like it's supposed to be one long sentence <laugh>

The CMs didn't take control of the game today. I still reckon Abeid should have started, at least he's a CM, not an AM like Vuckic.

It's hard to take control of a game when nobody passes to you. The defence just seemed to hoof the ball up at every opportunity for whatever reason...

I think we are too attack minded.. the defensive line pushes too far up the field and it exposes us at the back, this also has an affect on the attack.. we compress the field of play when we are building from the back and it seems we have little to no space to work the ball efficiently on the floor then we are resorting to hoof ball. we need to bring the defensive line back.. have tiote play the defensive midfield role just sitting in front of the defence (imo he goes too far forward at times) we need to make some space on the field for ourselves so we can open options for passes.. overloading the attack just makes for paniced close range passing that seems to lead to us being dispossessed and caught on the counter attack. the last 2 games we have been very attacking and pushed so far forward that when we have possession the opposition team has had 11 men behind the ball in their own half.. 21 players in 1 half makes for a big mess that ends in a frustrating attack that comes to nothing.

i think if we drop back a bit and invite forwards to come further into our half.. it makes there midfield come further forward and creates some space to get in behind their midfield and lets us keep the ball on the floor when attacking... with players like jonas and obertan having good legs on them we can then at least stretch out their numbers when attacking

well i come on a football forum to talk football not be judged on how i write when im online.

maybe if he was involved in the subject at hand rather that trying to take the "nazi grammar police" role then there wouldnt be a problem

Keep your heads boys, 7th at christmas would have been the best we would realistically have predicted. The worry is quite clearly at centre back, we need 2 in January if Williamson can't stay fit. We are still playing very well, we just dont have the solid foundation any more. We need Ben Arfa to start with Ba and we would score more and might win 4-3 ;) Keep the faith, things could be a lot, lot worse :D
