Know what you mean, but Labour (or at least some of them) are shooting themselves in the foot at the minute. They should be talking about what they've achieved and going after Farage and his dodgy accounting, but instead they're locked in an Internal psychodrama.

100% agree mate

I believe Labour failed miserably to get across the "what have we done for you in our two years in charge" message. All the man in the street heard was U-Turns (but no context) and that the boats were out of control, coupled with the illegal immigrants who were here were responsible for theft, rape and disorder (no context again). Farage prayed on man's insecurity and will continue to do so until he's called out. 2027 are the next local elections battle ground which if Starmer looses as badly again, could finally be ousted before the next GE.

Ha’way Labour, sort your act out.

Here’s a question for you mate, a serious one not a dig at the Labour Party.
When I lived in Lincoln a lot of my mates were school teachers and all of a sudden there contracts were changed to a rolling yearly ( you may not remember )
But all of a sudden over night they struggled to get a mortgage or loans for home improvements, I was just wondering how does MPs get round this, thinking of Angela Raynor buying a £800,000 house.
It could be anyone that was just a example.

Played golf with a couple of guys i haven't seen for a while.
It was both shocking and surprising the angry dislike of Starmer and Milliband. They have been solid Labour votes in the past.
Although they dislike Trump, they admire the fact he is repatriating lots of non-americans immigrants.
They are willing to forgive Fa gash a lot if he stops lots of their towns becoming black/brown. They see mass immigration of non-whites as something that has been imposed of them without "voting" for it. In other words they feel invaded and let down by most politicians.
This is a significant new recent factor that is not going away anytime soon.

A couple of points come to mind... this is a football forum, most posters will understand the tribal motive to support their team, city or country and be against the other team or outsiders.
Of course paradoxically in Liverpool as Salah has been such an outstanding player for their team, their are lots of new borns called Muhammad.
Our supporters like Brian Brobbery..

I guess its complicated?

You can have a dig at the Labour Party all you like marra, there's things I'm not happy with. I've no idea on your comment concerning mortgages. Sorry.

I seen Burnham saying males who identify as women should be allowed into female toilets did the rounds a few days ago. His comment was from 2022. Strange I thought why was it being circulated. Then last night's BBC news at 10 had the Labour Party stance moving away from this... (I think).

Met up for our church fellowship the other day and a guy in his early seventies said he'd never vote for Starmer again. It was just such a strange thing for someone like him to say... I think Starmer is toast with a lot of the electorate.

I am a lifelong Labour voter, but the digital i.d. thing means I cannot vote for Labour whilst Starmer is PM. The authoritarian imposition of something that was not in the manifesto and the refusal to acknowledge 3.5 million people signing a petition against it is a disgrace.

Yesterday the Government clarified the EHRC code of practice which means sex segregated spaces should only be accessed by biological sex not a persons chosen gender identity. Therefore only biological women should be in women's toilets etc.

Burnham thinks there is no risk to women by men identifying as women using their spaces, and it's a very very tiny minority of women who are protesting about this. I beg to differ.

Our lass agrees...and so do I (not by default)... Labour really out of touch here

Yes he seems a lightening rod for all the things wrong in the country...

He is boring, lacks charisma and is unlucky/ poor judgement ie Mandelson.

But I don't really get the visceral dislike.

With football occasionally the 'fans' turn against a player...Patterson got some of that last season. If Starmer has lost the 'dressing ' room he is doomed.

The only information not held on the new digital i.d. system about any individual is their sex/gender.

If you change gender, you can update the sex markers on your birth certificate so it looks like you were born as the opposite sex.

This worries me as I don't think past official records should be altered to say something that isn't true.

Apart from the miniscule amount of people born hermaphrodite you are male or female. There is no way anybody can change that. A "trans" woman does not have female reproductive organs and therefore cannot have babies, a "trans" man does not have male reproductive organs and cannot father children. It's that simple.

I know the world’s gone a bit bonkers but i also feel sorry for those who don’t feel like they belong / don’t feel safe anywhere. I know women need to feel safe. I do welcome in the new builds where they just make toilets with cubicles for whoever. It feels like a kind and simple way forward. There’s nowt wrong with trying to accommodate everyone where possible.

At Durham Gymnastics, for a couple of years now they have had, female, male and unisex ( what was the unisex disabled toilet). Not a problem.

I sport however men who trans to women are banned from competing with women. Rightly so.

Over the border the SNP, will be in a right mess with their allies the Greens (who seem even more loopy than their southern brethren)... implementing the law.

Women don't like unisex facilities. With technology being so cheap and readily available and voyeurism being a predominantly male against female crime, unisex facilities put women and children at risk of harm.

This is related to leisure centre changing villages but it explains the risks women fear in unisex facilities.
