Blair should be in jail for his war crimes, he was complicit in leaving Iraq in rubble after his "weapons of mass destruction" claims. A lot of life lost looking for something that wasnt there. They wanted Hussain and lied to get him
Hate the bloke with a passion.

Isn't his crime doing what the US wanted?

You can see that by the distraction post on this thread. We’re talking about an aspiring PM who is lying and inconsistent with stories and hypocritical of criticisms around money and influence.Others are harping back to when my adult kids were in nappies.
Its almost like they’re happy to accept fraud from some while pointing the finger at criminality from others.
I know I'm intellectually deficient , but would you mind detailing what you're saying in this post in language I can understand?
Distraction post? Aspiring lying PM? Others harping back to nappies? Happy to accept fraud? Pointing the finger at criminality?
Explain please?

Spelling mistake on purpose marra? <laugh> <laugh>

Tony Blair,as British Labour Party Leader and Prime Minister from 1997 to 2007, appears to have acted primarily in his own self interest, and not those of the people he was elected to represent, by agreeing to unlimited immigration from eastern Europe, although other EU countries......including France and Germany, implemented work permit controls. He had, apparently, been advised he would receive support should his name go forward for President of the European Commission.....a position attracting several million euros in salary, plus a seat at the top table of world leaders. He apparently considered that an influx of people would result in economic growth, without taking into account the vast numbers who would arrive, which created unsustainable demands on the UK public services and infrastructure.
This huge and rapid influx of different cultures and languages into the UK, often via non legitimate entry,of which the UK Govt. completely lost control, could have directly led to the vote by the British people to leave the EU in 2016.
Discuss.
Yes, I think it was a mistake to allow instant free movement and not apply transitional arrangements as other EU countries did.

No, I don't believe Blair did this on the basis of a promise for a lucrative EU job. For a start, when the A8 countries joined in 2004 I think Blair still had plenty of fire in the tank to do more domestically. I also think you're overstating the EU Commissioner's salary which is fixed at 138% of the highest paid EU Civil Servant. Yes, there are allowances alongside that, but it's hardly going to push it into the 'millions' bracket.

My best guess is he did it in the belief we would grow faster than those countries that did impose restrictions to freedom of movement. That just didn't happen though.

Yes I agree, those Italian nurses who cared for me when I was in hospital in Durham, should never been allowed in.

Didn't Bonko Johnson and Fa gash promise immigration would come down with Brexit... not forgetting the big bonus for the NHS

Can we stopped the barbed attacks on fellow posters.

Just post what you have read, heard, and your opinion :emoticon-0148-yes:
My opinion is
A poster who supports Reform is changing the subject from a current topic to a historical one. Failing to condemn their leader for lies and breaches of rules while targeting migrants for breaches of rules. He doesn't like me pointing the finger, but an aspiring PM and party should be scrutinised. My reply was to a post from Smug, saying that some choose to ignore it. He then did and moved the narrative to history.

OK marra. Could you not just hoy him on ignore?

Post about what's going on, but try and give your opinion. I posted about Farage £5m gift, where I believe he's shot himself in the foot when declaring his register of interests. These are now being investigated. We await the outcome

Has Blair not been re examined and re examined?

Id rather you answered about Farage being dodgy

Of course you'd rather I answered about Farage.....it's clear you're obsessed with him, but, fortunately, you do not control what other people post, however much you might want to.
Let's just get something straight.....I do not support Reform,I have never voted for them and I never will. I don't like or trust Farage and I believe all politicians to be fundamentally full of self-interest and greed, with many capable of corrupt activity of one sort or another.
I have posted many times on here that it is my belief that the vast majority of people who support Reform are not far-right racists,as you would have everyone believe, rather it comes from a protest against what many see as the loss of their cultural identity and the overwhelming changes they are witnessing in their lives, prospects and in their communities. For the majority of people it has little to do with skin colour,as you suggest, although I do believe racism exists and, sadly, continues to be a growing problem.
My post was not an attempt to change the subject, but rather to widen the debate to try to present a case for the root causes of these issues being Govt. policy of 20+ years ago, which have obviously been compounded by the lamentable and disgraceful lack of leadership from all sides ever since. It's a linking of the current topic to history, rather than your totally inaccurate, mistaken response that I was trying to deflect the argument from your beloved whipping boy Nigel.
You continue to use this thread as a vehicle to present your own propaganda, which you do ad infinitum and ad nauseum, continuing as you always have, to accuse anyone holding a different point of view to your own of being a far-fight Farage loving racist, which simply is not true, and often interjecting your response to any challenge to your view with insult and innuendo.
However irritating you find it,you do not control the agenda on here, others have the perfect right to post their views, and will continue to do so,even though they may conflict with your own and you'd rather they simply agreed with you without reservation.

Well done marra. Thanks for taking the time to post this. Hopefully it will end his endless attacks on you.
