I like that we’re in the play off final.
I like that we’re playing boro rather than Southampton.
I like that we have just as much chance as boro to get to the prem.
I don’t like all the negativity and catastrophising about what happens if we don’t win.
It’s life and sometimes it’s not ideal and perfect.
Let’s put the last few days behind us and have an amazing day out on Saturday.
If we lose, then it will be a season to look forward to not getting hammered every week!

Mixed emotions about this. Can take losing but it will be hard to feel like we haven’t been cheated ourselves should Boro triumph on Saturday.
Even down to the kick off time, it can be 3:30 because of Boro but 4:30 for Southampton.
Yet no one gave a **** about us when they selected a 4:30 kick off, I know a few people who booked trains thinking it would be an earlier kick off and have then had to change/ book different trains or hotels.
We’ve just been calateral damage on all this

Southampton Football Club has this evening been informed that the EFL’s League Arbitration Panel has upheld the sanctions imposed earlier this week. As a result, the club will not participate in Saturday’s Championship Play-Off Final.

This is an extremely disappointing outcome for everybody connected with Southampton Football Club. We know how painful this moment will be for our supporters, players, staff, commercial partners and the wider community who have given so much backing to the team throughout the season and we apologise once again to everyone impacted by this.

While we fully acknowledge the seriousness of this matter and the scrutiny that has followed, the club has consistently believed the original sporting sanction was disproportionate, a view that has been widely shared by many in the football community over the last 24 hours.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to our supporters for the support, patience and loyalty they have shown throughout an incredibly difficult period. We will share information as soon as possible in relation to ticket refunds for those who bought tickets to Wembley.

Southampton Football Club has a proud history and strong foundations, but it is clear that trust now needs to be rebuilt. That work begins immediately. The club will reflect carefully on the events that have led to this point, learn from them and take the necessary steps to move forward responsibly.

While tonight is a painful moment, this football club will respond with humility, accountability and determination to put things right.

**** em the cheating ****s.

Cool. If you do change your mind, get a cab to Watford underground station (not Watford Junction rail station, which is very near your hotel) and any train from there will take you to Wembley Park station, from where the stadium is very obviously visible.

If you use the underground and you are in a group, it’s best to buy paper tickets for everyone from the ticket office or machine, rather than use contactless cards.

Good luck!
why?

I feel like that, a bit flat, on hearing this news. When we are three sleeps from a Wembley appearance I should be jumping about like a 5 year old but I'm not. We have been shat on from a great height over this and the disrespect shown to us by the EFL and the national media is quite staggering.
I just hope City have been shielded from all this and prepared properly because we deserve to be in this championship play off final because we won our play off tie fair and square.
Where as Middlesboro have put themselves back in the final through the work of their legal team, not their football team.
There should be only one winner on Saturday.
And we all know who that winner should be, all the football world knows that too.
UTT.

nah, its more to do with spending £250 for the saturday night, and all the dads & lads we go with have booked hotels all over the place and tickets all over and some are taking wives, so basically we are all totally unorganised and will all head our own ways after the match, so might as well still travel friday and stay over, then drive 30mins and park up and drive back after getting promotion.
I have set up a small whatsapp group so we can organise things on a random basis - if that's not a contradiction!?

Clitoral damage, perhaps. The EFL are a bunch of c****

Worth considering Southampton's lot next season. Parachute money runs out, points deduction, manager and coaching team likely to leave, best players likely to leave or be at odds with club, reputation in the mud, fans angry at ownership... Couldn't happen to a nicer team. It will be a tough Championship next season too (so I really hope we're not in it). All three relegated teams will be capable of coming back up. Wrexham and Birmingham will be better prepped, Norwich, Derby and Sheff Utd seem in a resurgent mood with good managers. No Sheffield Wednesday-style basket cases it would seem. Really wouldn't want to be in their position in so many ways right now.

And the fans extremely pissed off. Wonder how many will vote with their feet? They already don’t like their owners.

I dont think they players will care they seem to have the confidence and togetherness that they believe they can beat anyone

Sergej and his team will have been prepared that this might happen

As for the supposed pressure, Everybody had us for relegation at the start of the season. Then they kept saying we were in a false position followed by the last day when nobody believed we would get 6th. There is that montage that someone posted were everyone predicted Millwall to beat us. And now won't most be saying that Middlesbrough are favourites but once again we will prove them all wrong
