They should have paused the playoffs pending the investigation. Soton should have lost points, Wrexham should have taken their place in the semis.

Or

The final should have gone ahead as planned, if Soton win, they're kicked out, if they lose, they're docked points next season.

This faffing around a couple of days before the game is crazy.

I have no idea what an appropriate punishment for this is, but I wouldn't have kicked Southampton out, because they won convincingly on the pitch.

There are so many other examples of clubs cheating and bending the rules, and players have no qualms about conning a ref, most of which goes unpunished, or with minimal consequence.

I recall years ago, Elton John saying he thought the pop industry was crooked until he got into football.

1st playoff match should have been awarded 3-0 to Boro but before the 2nd game so both teams knew what was needed
That's for spying on Boro

As for the other incidents, the league had finished so a points deduction of 3 point per incident to be applied next season a financial penalty probably around £1 - £2 million for multiple cases and also penalise the manager and staff but think that comes under FA at a later date

2-1 after extra time isn't really convincing but I know what you mean

Allow the original final to go ahead as per normal so the supporters have their day out and sponsors etc are happy. Allow some time for a more thorough investigation. If we lose, then rule that Southampton should be disqualified plus associated sanctions. We win, they receive a bigger points deduction for next season.
I genuinely don’t think Boro should have been reinstated (nor do many of their support), though FA had to keep their sponsors happy.

It should have never got to this stage

Southampton should had been chucked out of the play offs before the first leg and replaced by, sadly, Wrexham

Then everything should have carried on
That would have meant Wrexham replace 5th not 6th with a day's notice to play the first leg. Not fair on us not bumping up a spot abs not fair on them not being able to prepare.

This. Either delay first leg or expedite proceedings to determine validity of claim. If found guilty forfeit first leg or make clear that first leg will go ahead and if found guilty subsequently that they will forfeit that leg so they know they need a three goal margin second leg. If no time to find guilty before first leg, postpone second leg until a verdict is reached.

Should have just put us up, Boro lost their semi final so don't deserve a wembley appearance.....just my opinion....other opinions are available of course
