Im annoyed too especially with the body checks-but we were not pulled up for the vital body check by Harris which allowed Obertan to get a freekick (Goal 1),

We simply were not creative enoguh and BA apart do not look a goal threat.

Think we lost a lot of impetus when Santon went off. Raylor is too slow and constantly wants to loft it up top bypassing the midfield... Santon actually gave us a legit outlet in the first half.

 

What? He was awful, did nothing and kept giving the ball away.

 

We had 21 attempts on goal, scored two, had two disallowed, hit the bar and post. It was purely and wholly down to the defence that we lost.

 

Absolutely ****, we're our own worst enemies - score a goal to equalise, in the ascendancy and then let **** goals in at the other end. We had one of the best defences in the league now we have arguably the worst. Can't wait to get Williamson back in the side, we need his aerial presence. Having said that I'm not gong to blame Perch, he actually wasn't too bad, it was Colo who had a shocker this time getting skinned left right and centre by their two forwards. What on earth we were doing playing such a high line against the blistering pace of Odemwingie and Long I will never know.

People getting on Best's back too early IMO, both him and Tiote weren't very good but both have just come back from injury. Vuckic was naive at times but had some great moments, some dangerous through balls and a couple of great shots and he was unlucky not to get a goal today. Santon looked decent again but has no left peg, really want him to move to the right and us to get a left back in.

Blatant handball by Shane Long but we can't complain about being unlucky because with our defending we didn't deserve anything from the game. We need to turn things back around fast or this season could turn into an implosion of epic proportions.

 

And then it is 3-2 to the mackems :'(

Perch has been consistently ****e, he has been so ****e that he had to basically say so himself in his most recent interview

Colo's performance tonight has taken the edge off yet another ****e game from Perch, the worst player in the league, possibly the entire english football league

And he's ugly

 

What baffled me is Santon went beyond Guti everytime we got forward in the first half and he never got the ball.

Second half, Raylor hangs back and Gutierez is waving his arms in despair cos he has nobody to pass too.

Thought the officials were poor tonight against both teams but all in all our performance was just dreadful....pass, pass, pass, hoof....lose the ball.

 

4th minute of extra time, Liverpool with a free-kick (undeserved) just on the edge of the box, what's the likelihood of them scoring?

Thing is our defence is our weakest link atm ... Is it because we're missing Taylor or is it because we're having a new midfield every week ?

Also hoofball from defence was really blatant today and didn't help us ....

 

Honestly, I've said it many times, our defence has always been the weak link(fullbacks), we were playing crap teams early in the season which is why we had conceded so few goals.

 

A mix of no Taylor clearing/blocking everything and settling Colo, and no on form and fit Cabaye/Tioté partnership to further shield them.

 

Did we even have a ****ing mid field today? My god I've not see such a **** performance since we got relegated.
