There might be a case for placing the present club into administration to ensure any future version of it in the future has nothing to do with the present situation. How can the present management honestly expect people to pay hard earned money to watch a team tainted by this totally unacceptable scandal which happened under their eyes!!???
Away matches?? Not for many I suspect for sometime.
Fans will all be back next season….and excited. Nature of football.

Couldn't agree more, a governance not fit for purpose. Its up to 72 clubs to ensure they are answerable.
I couldn't believe what they said this morning about different kick off times depending on who's playing. Absolutely ridiculous. You guys must be fuming.

Not sure what to think about that statement. Minimising Luton's punishment just because they were in L2 stinks of arrogance imo. Also incorrect to call that the harshest sanction ever handed down.

Also he can't say we've had a punishmemt which dwarfs the mentioned £124m as we haven't actually earned the money yet.

Also ignores the fact there's precedent for teams being kicked out of cup competitions and that's essentially what it is.

I do like the idea of saying we'll work with the EFL to improve enforcement etc of the rule but to use his word that's pretty hollow when we've admitted breaching it.

Resignation Monday morning please.

Wonder if that is the crux of the argument today and therefore that is the framing he had to use.

It does seem arrogant but perhaps thats the lawyer approved angle.

But yes he can go, they all can go.

Quite possibly mate. I think it'll fail though as the play offs quite clearly a cup competition despite qualification coming from league performances.

If someone breaks a rule for an FA Cup match they're not under threat of points deduction.

The way I see it the expulsion is for the Boro game and the points for the other two.

What amazes me most, is how so many of us, like me, didn't appreciate the seriousness of the "spying", so many calling 'Borough, the villain of the piece when they were as much a victim as we now seem to be. That nobody in the Club seemed to know the 72 hour rule seems improbable, Salt maybe, but the rest should have been aware. People made fun of me when I said "heads will roll" in a post, I am certain that there must be some to roll now...

I imagine this will also be part of any argument.

It won’t work though as this is the most blatant form of cheating you can do. Deliberately sending a staff member to spy on the opposition is as blatant as you can get really. Then joking about it in meetings with memes just ****s any argument they have.

Financial breaches can be argued much more easily as mistakes/hands were tied (even if the club set out to deliberately break the rules it is much easier to hide that). The competitive advantage doesn’t come into it when it comes to the breaking of the rules, you either did or didn’t do it. Whether the panel considers the competitive advantage is up to them

They are fuming at getting kicked out the play offs, they dont care about the cheating. If it was to be over turned theyd be fine, that is literally all they care about.

Yeah they clearly went into the hearing thinking if we just admit to what they have on us they’ll just fine us and we can move on and try and get promoted. They aren’t fussed by the actual spying, just the consequences of getting caught.

Middlesbrough fans can't even get down. Train line closed between Northallerton and York with a replacement bus service...all trains for both supporters go into one station. They'll use one tube line. Met Police will love that. Last train home to Middlesbrough is 8 I believe.

Like all supporters I believe we'd have beaten who was in front of us, but no way should Boro have been given a second bite.

To think that there's been posts from Saints fans across social media and on forums, giving it large about what a badass Dragan is for taking on his own government etc etc.

Well Drags my old fruit, you've had your pants pulled completely down and your arse exposed by Saint Gibbo. He's beat your sorry cabal of arseholes that masquerade as our board. He's been ahead of you/them on; Media strategy, manipulation, influence and opportunism. That's before we even get started on that mug (whose sole experience in professional football was selling hoovers) walked in to the lions den and handed them our defence strategy on a ****ing platter.*

Wow, what a titan of industry. So lucky to have you on board.

*Maybe Rasmus can do a PowerPoint next time to really explain how we cheated but with pictures

The fact they didn't even have a draft of that statement to release yesterday after the verdict shows that they were arrogant enough to believe we wouldn't get expelled.

The game is run by idiots. Okay you can fairly say that SFC is also run by idiots, but this whole thing is insane.

Most of my anger is reserved for the governors and administrators of a sport which sold it’s soul to the devil decades ago; a sport which conspicuously fails to sanction the richest clubs, which offers it’s showpiece international competition to a country that isn’t even a footballing nation, which awards a made up peace prize to a tyrant, and which has time and time again demonstrated it’s absolute contempt for the supporters who have been it’s lifeblood for over a century.

Truth to tell, I’ve given up on professional football for some time really. Something in me won’t give up on Saints, never have, never will, even if I wanted to.
Yep you’re right and that’s why Hull haven’t been given a bye to the prem. £ controls Saturday & no way are Sky nor EFL giving up they’re share.

I'll be honest, my initial assumption was that it is probably something that goes on all the time. I'm still not convinced that's not the case, but equally we were extremely stupid in doing it.

I know its not a good scenario for Hull fans waiting for this outcome, but I am so jealous of your position. The one innocent party guaranteed to be in the match, got the full neutral backing, and finished in sixth, therefore feels even sweeter if you win! Please win!

But you still gained an advantage over 46 games? The intent really doesn't matter. Leicester took points from teams, whilst financially cheating, and in turn helped relegate those teams. If you sign better players than you are allowed to do via "law", then you've gained a sporting advantage. You either think spying and financial manipulation have impacts on results, or you don't.

Severely tainted tho

I think we’re trying the Chelsea defence route there. They basically opened their books & PL decided not to adequately punish them.
