Looks like I'm in the minority but I think it is disproportionately harsh - as ours was too.
How much advantage is actually gained? On Talksport, they said that the games they'd confessed to spying in, they'd lost!!
A hefty fine and maybe a more severe points deduction next season but this is too much for the fans.
I agree. The 'spy' was a junior intern hiding behind a bush and he plainly didn't come up with anything useful.

Over the top in my opinion.

Feels very unlikely they spied on Oxford in December, who were and are absolute ****, then didn’t until May. The matches mentioned must be the clubs who officially came forward but it’s probably a fair assumption similar was going on at training grounds where it was possible.

The manager moved to this country for the first time to be assistant at Barnsley six years ago but claims he was unaware this wasn’t allowed and it’s common practice in Germany. Sounds also unlikely.

Wrexham consulting lawyers with the view Southampton's cheating earning them a place in the play-offs denied them the opportunity of competing. Notwithstanding the results of those games would not have affected Wrexham's position. The one thing this shows is the unbridled greed of all concerned desperate to get their snouts in the Premier League trough...

And so the stupidity continues...

Southampton players considering legal action against their own club if they are still excluded after todays appeal, for loss of bonuses and salary increments if they had been promoted

The Saints CEO is laughable, claiming his club are being fined £200m - and they haven’t even won the play-off final. Dipshit!
If the date is changed they should pay the costs for Hull fans along with costs to process the claims.
Why do clubs seem to think it’s OK to say yes we did it, we’ve helped with the investigation into something we admit we did wrong and then expect leniency? Bollocks. Take your punishment. Your mistake, own it. You are the cheats, please leave.

I read his statement. Contrition for about three sentences before a long whine about how unfair it all is. They’ve not helped at all. They very openly took the piss out of it as it was happening assuming any punishment would be minor.

Just to confuse those going even more, they are currently looking at moving the start time (not date).

The train providers however have already scheduled the trains and can not change the timetable with 4-days notice.

Fortunately Wembley is really easy to get away from by public and supporters won't all be trying to go in the same direction ;)
