It's two legged but it's a single tie, if we cheated for the first leg then we cheated for the entire tie essentially.

Not to mention the fact we admitted to doing it during regular season too.

Yeah, that's a good point. I guess they could argue what advantage you actually gain on the pitch over the 90 mins. Regardless of how us fans feel, the club are going to pursue every legal avenue if tomorrows appeal does nothing, and I think this is going to get a lot messier.

Of course I’m serious. Some times business people know when to cut loose.

What happens if players can walk away from contracts that couple have been broken over us failing to uphold our side of the contract by cheating?

Even if they doesn’t happen, how many of our players will stay?

Sometime people take what they can get.
I very much doubt players would be able to get their contracts cancelled. I can't remember any player getting their contract cancelled after a points deduction. I'm not sure that matters anyway. A few will no doubt push for and get transfers.

Interesting point on the owners. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Solak decided to cut his losses and sell up. He's pumped a fair chunk of money into the club and been repeatedly let down by those who are supposed to run the football side of things. He probably thought we'd turned a corner under Martin and then we fell flat on our faces and now we have this. You could easily imagine this being the point where he just gives up on the whole thing and decides to get out.

And if he gives up but can't find a buyer then we have a Chansiri situation.

Yep agree on both fronts here.

I can defo see Solak thinking about this. Their saving grace is there are no games soon for fans to put up the pitch forks, so the noise will have died out a little by the time next season arrives.

I can still see a huge reduction is season ticket sales though and other knock on effects from all this.

That said, I still think we will look to sue the EFL over this. Mainly around due process want followed in that we didn’t have the full 14 days for this and the punishment being far to excessive.

It could cause the EFL huge issues on their ability to function if we sued and won.

I wonder if the Leeds punishment will hold any weight if that’s our argument.

1. The rules were different then

2. They lost in the playoff semi so the EFL could argue they would’ve kicked them out if they’d made the final

Seems like a pretty easy thing for the EFL/independent panel to brush off if that is our main argument about the punishment
