Imagine that just a single goal throughout the course of the season could have seen us trade places. Not even just the swing in head to heads. Brutal!Bye bye Millwall!!
The harsh reality of all sports, such fine margins! The big thing was it was in our hands right to the last game and we weren’t worrying about other results.Imagine that just a single goal throughout the course of the season could have seen us trade places. Not even just the swing in head to heads. Brutal!
At the end of last season when positions were sorted, I was chatting with some Sunderland fans and we virtually all agreed, to survive it’s no use wanting the teams that come up with you to get a battering week in and week out, you need each other to take points from the West Ham’s, Wolves and Palaces.I think we’d all take a Hull vs Middlesbrough final. As long as Southampton don’t come up with us and Coventry, I’d be more confident for our chances next season.
The PL don't seem to be willing to pursue any wrongdoers under their jurisdiction.Southampton expelled so final is now Boro vs Hull. Apparently, we were 1 of the teams they spied on. I am pleased to see the EFL have some guts to do this - yes, it’s not fair on people that had nothing to do with it (players, fans etc) but someone at the club has clearly authorised this and they got caught. EFL and PL are 2 distinct entities but I do believe they need to work together so the punishments for breaking rules are the same for everyone. In this day and age, unless you are going to fine a club £100 million and put them in a transfer embargo, financial punishments do almost nothing to a PL club
Gained a point from spying I guess.Ironically Saints only drew their 'spied on' games!
I think that’s the fairest result to be honestHull join us at the top table, in 5th min ET, amazing and perhaps our preferred club.
Well done Tigers!
