There's been a lot of this, or saying it's not that serious and there's far worse cheating going on, but I think the point is it's a clearly set out rule which they knew about and they deliberately broke it. I don't think they can allow much mitigation otherwise it's saying don't spy on the opposition unless you do it badly in which case we'll go easy on you.
More than last and this season for us thenJust chatting with a Leeds mate of mine, about the pros and cons of going up.....looked in to it and they've only played 8 games out of 37 at 3 on a sat this season.....if it doesn't work out this sat, that's something to console ourselves with!
Interesting comments from Acun ..... very different to how he was portrayed by several on here (and still is by a dwindling number).Adjoon on ITV
"Please don't spoil a beautiful day for our beautiful fans. I really underline that this game, I think, has to be played on Saturday.
"Because of the damage to our fans' organisation (of getting to Wembley), the psychological damage of the club. Everything would be a mess."
BBC also now reporting the hearing itself could run though until tomorrow.

Fwiw, I disagree with what he's now saying. As 1 or 2 others are now saying, imo he should be absolutely slating Southampton and pressurising the EFL to do the right thing and boot Southampton out (ideally with us therefore getting a bye). Instead he's thinking of us fans ahead of the massive windfall at stake; fair play, who would have thought it eh ....but I think he's got it wrong, integrity of the game should come first.
“Oh hello Oli, we’ve had someone drop out. What are you up to in June?”wonder if someone will give him a fourth division boneshaker so he's out of action for 3 months
What Acun is saying now, or has been advised to say at this stage, may differ wildly from what might be said next Monday. Lets hope thats doesn't need to be said.Interesting comments from Acun ..... very different to how he was portrayed by several on here (and still is by a dwindling number).

This is what Acun is saying in public. He’s a PR dude through and through. I assume that the legal bods have also advised Acun on what to say and not to say publicly. We don’t know what (if any) comments the club have made through official channels, but I expect Acun has a legal team ready to go if it turns into a clusterfuck.Interesting comments from Acun ..... very different to how he was portrayed by several on here (and still is by a dwindling number).

Don't agree. We would get promoted as the losing finalists, but my Sky Bet bet on us for outright promotion wouldn't pay out apparently, which is a pisser. How would we get a bye? The infringement was against Boro, before any games had been played. I fail to see how we could get straight through. If Saints get kicked out before Saturday, at best we just play Boro in the final. At worst they replay and the final gets moved.
Assuming the game goes ahead as planned and saints win but retrospectively get kicked out after a drawn out saga, West Ham will get to stay up instead.
Can you read? I said "portrayed". I'm not on about any legitimate questions raised in summer.Sorry, how does that statement counteract the questions people were asking last summer?
What else did you expect him to say?

Far point. Could be the case .....although I don't think that's how he rolls tbh. Time may tell. This is what Acun is saying in public. He’s a PR dude through and through. Because it would be too late to reinstate Boro as the final has already been played. How? Because if Saints get kicked out, they should never have been in the final in the first place. That means we need to play Boro who would legitimately be there instead.
