I was there, after the Burnley result it was the dampest of damp squibs.Hadn't heard of this (or forgotten, I was 4 at the time) so had a nosey. It was the 1984 Associate Member's Cup Final, mad to think we didn't appear at Wembley for another 24 years because of a horse show. Worth the wait though.

OK, then surely Southampton or Boro will appeal if it goes in favour of one or the other? That would leave a default Hull City promotion as the only plausible solution for EFL BUT why do you say that Southampton and Boro cannot appeal a default promotion?Yes yes no no yes

That is what I really needed to know. So Boro cannot appeal any recommendation.Boro can’t appeal- they have provided evidence. It’s only Southampton and the EFL who could appeal

Only the EFL and Southampton can appeal anything. The best Boro can do is sue Soton - they can’t appeal. So the EFL will recommend a punishment, the panel will decide whether to impose that or vary it. If they impose something different to the EFL recommendation, the EFL can appeal. Southampton have the right of appeal over what the panel decide, but the appeal will be expedited (held in a much shorter timeframe than usual). Can any of you legal eagles provide definitive yes or no to the following questions please:
1. If the recommendation is Southampton out and Boro play, can Southampton appeal?
2. If the recommendation is Southampton play, can Boro appeal?
3. If the recommendation is Hull City promoted by default, can Southampton and Boro appeal?
4. If the recommendation is Hull City promoted by default, can Southampton appeal?
5. If the recommendation is not to the liking of the EFL, can they appeal?
Maybe 2&3 are invalid because only Southampton and EFL can appeal?

By the way, I don’t if another university provided the course, but he studied at Wembley.Football Association university. He studied and got a degree in a football related subject. Went on to work for a PL club and has a UAFA B coaching badge.
Despite my moral indignation at the thought of paying an entry fee, after looking around, this might be the best option if you wanna be close to the stadium. You must log in or register to see images

That’s why the independent panel will probably come up with something that is palatable to both the EFL and Southampton which will ensure Saturdays final goes ahead. Middlesbrough are the ones who will most likely have to suck it up.That is what I really needed to know. So Boro cannot appeal any recommendation.

I keep thinking it will be a big fine as the EFL get the cash so will be happy, Saints get to play and M’Boro get to sue Saints separately for loss of earnings, which will likely get settled out of court.
I agree - likely. Possible ban for Tonda E. although not sure if panel have power to do that and unlikely it'd apply for Saturday anyway.
Stayed there several years ago on expenses. A decent area, did the job, probably a fair price now.Two nights in Travelodge in covent garden with breakfast £389... thought that was reasonable tbh
