Yea
But its miniscule compared to the winner obviously

But def better than finishing 7th

Obviously, but every little helps in this league and it could be a decent pot, 90k expensive Wembley tickets and huge worldwide television coverage. How much of that goes to each club I have no idea.

Id guess the losing championship playoff final loser gets £1m at least from the playoffs

But in recent years

Losing finalists
Leeds
coventry
Brentford

Have gone on to get promoted soon after

I think in the past there have been informal agreements where winning teams have said losing team can take the ticket sale monies, or maybe I dreamed that

My concern is the Boro are on the training ground planning how to beat City. Southampton are on their training ground plannung how to beat City. Both Managers are studying our players, formations, tactics and set plays. How do City prepare for a game when it could be 2 totally different sets of players, tactics and set plays. This puts us at a serious disadvantage.
Don't think Sergei is worried at all, he said in an interview somewhere that does not matter who we play he knows every club now.

Whatever happens in the final the next transfer window is the most important of Acuns history.
He needs to stay away from it and let Dublin and the coaching staff deal with it. There is a real chance we could be challenging again with this manager and core group, despite the names coming down.

get some good midfielders in and theres a very decent champ core there going forward
Should the worst happen

The best thing about getting to the final is we should be a seriously attractive prospect to decent championship players and low end Premier league players not getting game time. We are going to be taken seriously again, probably the first time since Acun took over.

It seems teams that lose in the play-offs either go on to crash and burn or they consolidate and gain promotion automatically like Coventry have done.

I genuinely think this is the only sensible option.
Due to the sheer amount of money that the final is worth and the fact that efl and epl operate separately so points deduction won't work, same as the farce with leicester.
I’m sure I read they changed this following the Leicester debacle, so points deductions can be given in either league. Considering their feeble effort in the premier league last time, it would hardly be a punishment.
The other point for me is if they have been systematically spying, why should Boro get a second chance. Why not Wrexham?
So this is the only option (us playing Southampton in the final, investigate thoroughly and if we lose and Southampton are then deemed to have systematically cheated, then we are promoted instead).
