    Great professional but we'd appreciate him a lot more if he'd left when in summer when we all knew his time was up. He's not in the wrong to have accepted the huge contract but to stay when he could be somewhere else playing regular football and will not get games here is annoying.

    Vuckic and Abeid made the bench ahead of him last match so I can't see him starting. Hopefully Vuckic or Raylor in CM.

    Please no! I'd settle for him playing on the right instead of Obertan but not in CM! Gladly he's supposed to be injured anyway. Vuckic deserves his chance and I wouldn't mind seeing Abeid play either.

    IMO he'd be better at CM than RM. He did a good job there a few times at the back end of last season.

    Also, I'm good friends with someone who is Alan Smith's cousin, and he says Smith is interested in going into coaching when his contract is up.

    Vuckic or Raylor partnering Tiote was the suggestion I think.



    Do you think if Tiote was to get injured we'd be so bold as to play Abeid and Vuckic together in CM??

    Now I hate Smith as much as the next man.....but Pards has picked his moment hasnt he?! When we only have 1 fit senior CM available?!

    Have some respect eh?! .. He's always tried for us and as has been mentioned, if it wasnt for him we might not be where we are. Yes i agree he is past his best but calling him a dummy is just pathetic .. at the end of the day its not his fault he's had bad injuries and got older, therefore not being the player he used to be, is it.

    I still don't understand how this helps us at all, just tell the idle twat to **** off. If he wants to stay and carry on being a money grabbing twat then let him rot in the reserves, as sub, never to be let on the pitch. I can understand if he is a trouble maker like Barton, then you don't want him around disrupting the team morale etc. But otherwise you are just rewarding him for being a useless tart if you pay up his contract and let him go and play for another team.

    I think he means the fact that Vuckic and Abeid are not really senior CM's .. Gosling is banned and Cabaye was banned today
