One of my favourite players, a modern day legend. On and off the field, he has been such a professional player and likeable man. One of the Town stars in our remarkable promotional years. What did he cost back in L1? £500k?

He scored many critical goals in his prime.
Didnt know he was a Trustee of the Foundation.

You go with our best wishes, and luck wherever your next club is. We are very proud of how you wore the Town shirt.

Great player and by the sounds of it a great person off the pitch and in the community. A vital cog in that double winning promotion side, a player who brought the best out of those around in, good connections with Burns, Morsy, Hirst and Davis and on last seasons performances like many of that group we havent really adequately replaced him

Excellent finisher, even better person. He'll be back at Town when his playing career ends. The club and the area just has a strange aura about it for some people and I think Conor is one of those that will return.

Loads of memories, fantastic goals and the energy to press and drive the team on and set standards that helped take us from League One to the Prem.

Good luck out there, we'll see you back soon enough!

Late to the party on this one, but agreed - a modern day club legend and is up there with Davis and Burns for my favourite Town player of the last decade or so.

He was instrumental in the back-to-back promotion seasons. His goalscoring ability from the central position was brilliant to watch. He’s our 12th top scorer of all time - and while a fair few of those were in League One, I think he could’ve broken into our top 10 had we spent a bit more time in the Championship.

As others have said, off the pitch he has been a great ambassador for the club. He’s done some important work for the Ipswich Foundation and seemed to genuinely care about Ipswich and the local area.

He deserves first team football and I agree he’s probably not quite at Premier League standard. I know he had a difficult year at Portsmouth, but I’m certain he’ll get a Championship move this summer.
