If this is proven and we are kicked out of the play offs as a result I will not be renewing my ST unless I am certain all individuals associated with it have been removed from their positions at the club.
I still wouldn't sack Tonda

It wasn't particularly good spying for the final week of the season either, tbf...

Question with this for me is have Boro put their strongest bit of evidence out there to try and get public opinion on their side? Or their weakest to try and get us to fight based on this before hitting us with more?

Not sure if the EFL would have had to provide us evidence at point of charge or not.

If it is all season long we are likely to have a hefty points penalty for next season, maybe even down to L1.

I feel the league will want to make an example.

Typical Saints.

Isn't this hearing just about the Boro incident, I would have thought any other offences would need to be reported and handled separately to allow is time to defend the allegations, same with the whistleblower.

I was wondering that. How does it work, Boro reach out to all these clubs and submit it all to the EFL? Minefield surely!

This hearing is about the charge last Thursday. Not everything that they can throw at us.

We've been charged with 2 offences but nowhere in those charges does it mention Boro training.

In my worst case scenario - there may be a paper trail back to someone senior (probably JS) and that they're trying to work out if it's legally feasible to sanction us on a discussed strategy with no proof of us acting on it other than the Boro thing. I fear that will mean the end of Spors which could roll back into Tonda walking (into a job in Germany) in a Cortese/Poch style (frankly, that's always been my biggest fear from the beginning).

If they think they can sanction us on that, and aren't pacified by a major head rolling, then yeah, we could get kicked out of the final. Either way, not great, and if JS goes I do wonder if SR can survive that.
Nah weren't me

I still don't think that what we benefitted from any spying had that much of an influence overall in our season but i'm gutted that the club have even done it.
It wouldn't have gone above DOF level in my view but anyone that is found to be "in on it" needs to go, we need to clean our house and regain our reputation.
I'll accept any punishment if it is proved to be systemic throughout the football side of the club.

I'm not sure that's right. The charge is that we've been spying, only seems logical that they'll investigate to what extent that is.

Otherwise I don't see it why it could take up to 10 days for the hearing.

As others have said, if we are found to have done this throughout the season, we are ****ed.

However, given the fact we have been caught because the "spy" was standing in plain site, next to a tree, about 5 yards from the training ground pointing an iphone at the players... I can say with confidence that he would have been caught much, much earlier than this.
