Didn’t really have a strong opinion on Southampton before the play-offs but I really loathe them now. Cheating bastards, a weird **** of a head coach, arsehole players and even their ball boys are ****s. We have to beat them.

A disability is a protected characteristic. The footballing authorities should treat it on par with racial or homophobic abuse so if Harwood-Bellis did mock Ayling’s stammer, he should receive a lengthy ban.
That made me laugh, the ball boys bit.

Their head coach genuinely has a serial killer vibe about him

That's ****ing **** Jim.you need to get names from your Daughter and either go to the Head Teacher or get yourself down to School at chucking out time and bang someone on the nose!!!

Bastards!!!
The school told me they would monitor it but feared it might her worse if they got too involved. They think it will blow over.

Some days there is nothing. Others she comes home and you can tell she's had some hassle. The problem is her stutter won't get better whilst she is stressed, its a vicious loop.

Boro had a shot with the last action of the game.
Did the keeper have to make a save? No, the ball nearly hit the corner flag, therefore it doesn't count.
The commentator who must have been either the Southampton chairman or the chairman of their supporters club said Boro hadn't had a shot since the 39th minute, which I didn't see because I hadn't switched on then. I saw all the rest of the game from the start of the second half and all the extra time and Boro didn't even get into the Saints penalty box until they were 2-1 down with five minutes to go.
Despite the commentator saying we were witnessing a classic I thought otherwise. Both teams looked laboured and devoid of ideas although Southampton were at least trying to win the game with their long balls into the box, all to no avail until one cross swung into the bottom corner, and it was a cross, not a shot.
But Saints are a big side physically which probably explains there one track attacking idea of lumping high balls forward.
So we need to be wary of that.
I thought Southampton looked far better in the Cup Final then they showed tonight.

Hopefully they’ve run out of steam exactly like we did around March time. Performance levels ebb and flow over the season and they’ve just had a real purple patch. It’s usually games where a team is big favourites where they tend to struggle most too.

We on the other hand are doing the reverse and will have confidence after digging deep twice against Norwich and Millwall then that performance yesterday. Our players will definitely be going into the game with confidence in themselves and ability to get a result.

Coming off the back of those two Millwall games we can definitely match them physically. It should feel rather simple for Mcburnie since he could’ve claimed for GBH from over the two legs .

Pretty sure it still counts as a shot just not a shot on target mate.

Surprised nobody is mentioning the two clear penalties that Boro didn’t get. The one in the first half where Casper Jander took the legs of David Strelec just inside the box, slow motion replay clearly showed the Jander made no contact with the ball but did take the legs of his Strelec and second half clear handball I think by Matsuki.

Respect to Hellberg. It’s very rare to see a coach in the modern game have such an obvious disdain for an opponent coach and team. Pure hatred there and entirely justified. Don’t think anyone would’ve cared if Hellberg chinned that **** Eckert after the final whistle.

Serg will administer a bit of this if he tries anything with us....

Unless a decision is made today, there's no way that Southampton won't be playing in the final because of time constraints in the next few days, however that doesn't mean that should they win then they will be automatically promoted - they could easily find themselves excluded and their place in the PL goes to the losing finalist - in many ways an absolute ****show which will end up in legal challenge and absolute chaos and a total **** up of the final - that's why I think it will end up as a fine or points deduction which can be sorted out over weeks / months rather than days

When it happened to Swindon in 1990 the administrative situation was very different. Swindon were promoted from the Football League second division to the Football League first division. They then were given a relegation of 2 divisions (later reduced to 1) and Sunderland, as the playoff losers were promoted.

If Southampton win then it'd be up to the Premier League to relegate them. Why would they do that? The 'crime' didn't happen under their watch.

I agree - **** show which everyone will stall on as that makes meaningful punishment significantly less likely, if not downright impossible to implement.

Last night for as crap as Boro were from 30 onward, Southampton had 12 on the pitch. The Sky commentator fawning over that little twat Sceinza saying, 'I dont know how he's kept going' when he walked with a limp and sprinted like Bolt and went down with the touch of a feather...\

I wont be giong to the final but please please City fans.... add to the repertoire "one song, you've only got one song, you sing all day long , you've only got one song.... and when were home and hosed. ' oh when the Saints go marching home....'
