I think our squad lacks football intelligence. It has never been an area of strength and remains a complete black spot for Eddie. Players like Elanga, Murphy and Wissa are just brainless runners. I think Bruno clearly has it, Hall is raw but does, and Nick. Outside of that? Very little. Even the better players like Joelinton and Tonali are lacking.
 
"Expect a strong finish to the season."

We'll find out if they were empty words in a couple of weeks.

No improvement despite us training and playing only once per week.

Howe has gone from looking stressed to smug. Hes going nowhere. We could lose the next two and he’ll still be here in August.

For me the minimum target given the spend should be Europe and failure to do so should be treated accordingly. That we’ve not only failed to secure Europe but have bumbled along embarrassingly at times compounds the issue. So we’re now talking about a “transitional” season and a rebuild because we lost one player last summer and spent so badly on six - as I said elsewhere it blows my mind that not one of Howe, Nickson or Howe Jr have carried the can for this failure.

2 games really doesn't tell us more than 36 though. The results after dropping out of Europe haven't really improved.... 2 games is too narrow to make any conclusions from.

Bruce did well for two full seasons not two games. The circumstances now are quite similar. I think the time comes when a change is needed.

These managers ride waves and believe it's them winning football matches, but in reality they're whistling into the wind.
