It’s interesting the way the bookies are writing us off. 7.5 to one for promotion on Sky Bet in a four-horse race. I decided that was worth a punt.
I would guess that statistically for the 6th place team to have an ongoing better chance, city would have had to win the home leg/first game and with the draw, the odds move out slightly. Are these odds now set by an AI algorithm or does human judgement still play a part?

All sorts i imagine
Form
Weve only won 1 game in our last 8

Home teams usually get better odds

Been for day out at Wolds Wildlife park , the Lions where sluggish, disinterested , complacent almost . The Tigers looked alert , on the edge , eyeing us up and imagining how they would rip us apart if they could. I’ve took that as an omen , it’s happening .

I'm finding it hard to get my head around the fact that a Wembley game is at stake.

As much as promotion is obviously the goal, a Wembley day would also be a lot of fun.

Pandur
Coyle Ajayi Egan Giles
Lundstram Slater
Gelhardt Crooks Joseph
McBurnie

Sergej hinted at needing to use his full squad with such a quick turnaround. Ajayi better suited to deal with Coburn, extra body in midfield, energy of Joseph. Can see Belloumi and Millar causing more problems off the bench than if the subs were the other way round.

I'd swap Yu for Joseph but the rest is what I'd go for

Just travelled on the same train as the team. Apart from coyle who had 2 bottles of wine and a Jaeger Bomb the rest of the players looked relaxed and ready for action.

Mrs Jim got our lads shirt signed by the squad. Only coyles name is barely readable. Think he thought it was his tab he was signing for.

I feel like egans probably a big train nerd
Bet he knew all about the engine and where it was built

Lots of folk wanting to start Ajayi, the only reason I'd start him is if Hughes is a bit knackered after Friday. Ajayi on song is good but he's got a cock-up in him, so has Hughes but I just think he might be a bit more up for it after the clean sheet in the first leg.

Could also be Hughes last or second last game for the club....

It seems almost consensus that Belloumi is a better player than Gelhardt and that signing Gelhardt shouldn’t be a priority.

I’d just like to remind people that Gelhardt has 14 goals this season playing primarily as a right-winger and Belloumi has 2. Belloumi has only played 1010 minutes this season compared to Gelhardt’s 2900 minutes but the difference in output is still significant. Belloumi averages 0.09 goals per game. Gelhardt averages 0.3 goals per game.

I tend to agree that Belloumi is a more technical player than Gelhardt but he needs to back it up.
Same with Joseph.
Miller and belloumi look better and flashier but they have hardly got a goal or an assist between them.

Like I’ve said, not a fan of Ajayi, I think he’s too slow, but he’s stronger than Hughes, that’s the only reason I’d start him over Charlie.
As for Belloumi, I just think he wasn’t getting anywhere on Friday, Gelhardt is better on the right, & much more a c-nt, so for me he has to start on the right for all those reasons.
Ajayi is rapid? His pace is his best attribute?

Miles quicker than any of our other centre half options.
