Cos he's good and we don't have anyone else in the roles he can fill?If the appearance clause about Geetruida is right, and if so, it's clear he or we have said he's not signing permanently, why are we even putting him in the bench?

But if he's reached his game limit before we have to pay more money for him, why would we do that when we are safe if he's not signing permanently.Cos he's good and we don't have anyone else in the roles he can fill?
Maybe not....like I said...it comes down to his options.
Well,I agree with you,if he's reached his appearance limit. The deal may reference starts, rather than bench appearances,we just don't know. It's a loan deal....he'll be going back to Leipzig in a couple of weeks. I was commenting on whether or not we'd like to sign him permanently after the loan deal is finished. But if he's reached his game limit before we have to pay more money for him, why would we do that when we are safe if he's not signing permanently.
If he is signing permanently, then he should have been playing a lot more.
I just can't see him staying.
He may do,but he's only 26,he might fancy fighting for his place in a PL club next season. He'll probably look at his time here as a waste of a season.
When he signed on loan I was lucky enough to be in his company through work on numerous occasions, I had a few good chats with him and I have put this on here before but he did want to sign permanently and he expected to. he was was enjoying his time here but I've not had the opportunity to carry on these chats or else I would've asked. Something has gone on since the last time I spoke to him but only him the club and the agent know.
It wouldn't surprise me if this was true. He's not getting a regular start for them under Carrick and we're a much better proposition for Amad himself now, than we were at the end of last season.I choose to believe this is totally legit !

Never thought about an appearance clause for Geertruida stopping us playing him more - don’t want to fork out £20 million? Makes sense as he was excellent v the mags and you’d have expected more game time to follow

He's obviously talented, I think at sunderland he will always have the struggle of not being the best player in any of the positions he covers. I won't be upset if there is a mutual decision not to make the deal permanent.I cant fathom the thoughts behind not rating Geetruida based off what we have seen, hes wonderful on the ball, possibly our best fit player on the ball.

I hope so. He's class, but very emotional.I'd expect Nordi to stay....he has a contract for another 3 years, and he must be getting PL money,in addition he's a great friend of Granit.
I do expect a lot of outgoings this summer mind, but not many from the first choice players.
