Kean is coming under increasing pressure at Ewood Park after Rovers slumped to the bottom of the Premier League table after a 2-1 home defeat by local rivals Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night. In the build-up to the game, the local newspaper had called for Blackburn owners Venky's to wield the axe, while Kean was subjected to abuse from supporters during the Bolton reverse. Speaking after the game, the Scot revealed he would be 'completely shocked' if he was sacked and expects to be in charge for the Boxing Day fixture away to Liverpool. He has won just two Premier League matches this season and has struggled to win over fans since replacing Sam Allardyce at the helm 12 months ago. It is understood that potential replacements for Kean are being considered, with former Sunderland manager Bruce among the options. Bruce was dismissed by the Black Cats earlier this month and was replaced by Martin O'Neill following a disappointing start to the season. The ex-Manchester United captain had been linked with the South Korea national team job and has now emerged as a candidate for Blackburn if Venky's decide on a change of management. Wonder what the blackburn fans would think of this
he does well helping a team push out of the relegation zone into a decent team but cant push on anymore like sunderland asked for him him to do
Smaller club, more limited ambitions (ie avoid relegation) he would probably do OK at Blackburn. Was incapable of 'pushing on' SAFC when it appeared everything was in place for him to do that
not a clever one then when he took over we had escaped relegation for the last two years. Then he tooks us out of that fight buying some very good players but could not push us on to becoming a top ten club every year challanging for europe he got bogged down trying to buy better players and managing higher expectations then wigan or birmingham so he struggled and lost the plot towards the end
