Old season ending.

New season could be really exciting. This could be the one!

Please post all your snippets of information and cast iron signings and departures here.

I'll start then

Jonathan Varane tweet.

Apologising for last week's defeat...and saying "see you on Saturday for one last away day together"

Saw people making the obvious conclusion from that. Could just be a poor choice of wording in a second language.

Hope he is off though. Bored of him.

This is where we shed any decent players and start again next season. Always starting again and never getting anywhere.
It might feel like that when we keep finishing 16th but I’m not sure we’ve been starting again. we played 3 seasons with Kenneth Paal as LB for gods sake! Selling more players would potentially be progress

We have one new signing 'sort of' in Obiwan Kenobi or what ever his name is from Coventry. Well that's of course if he really exists or is it a conspiracy theory.
Trouble is, he has that deer caught in the headlights look, never a good sign.

What was the Field situation with Norwich? Loan to purchase? We could do with him back
I don’t think it was officially a loan to purchase but an agreement informally they would if they stayed up.

Not played much in the last couple of months. Maybe better for all parties if he comes back.

Well connected to what?

I think it'd be sad not to give our manager a second season to see what he has learned.

And would be sad for us again to have to build and not try for some stability.
I’m not really bothered whether JS stays or goes. He’s.. ok. Comme ci comme ca. Bof. Obviously I get your argument and you’re probably correct. He’s hamstrung by those above.

To be fair the guy does genuinely have some good connections in the club and I can believe they’ve spoken to Parker but I don’t see it. Too expensive, he’d want a serious budget, better offers etc. even if he wants to move back south.

Yeah, I think our club has a reputation now for not letting managers manage, whether it's true or not. I'm not sure a top quality manager would want all of that.

Personally, I wonder when the owners will get fed up with Nourry and give him the same treatment he dishes out to the managers or rather coaches he hires. He's had 4 years now and we've climbed one place in the table. But have a development squad to die for. Yeah right. We've had some great results this season But then we have that each year. But we've not eradicated the long losing streaks

By the way, I'm not against the kids being given a decent run at the end of the season. But as has already been said they need older and wiser heads to help them make the right decisions.

Parker's Championship successes, Fulham, Bournemouth and Burnley have been with Parachute assistance. Without that I can't see him taking us on...
Didn’t Vincent Kompany get the Bayern Job on the back of Burnley’s last premier league ****show? I’m sure there’s a European sleeping giant out there for Parker somewhere….

The lengthy run of no wins is my biggest complaint of recent seasons. We will not get near top six until we've killed off that pattern.

Possibly the wrong thread for this but in the twelve seasons since we won the playoffs, we've finished 9th just once and never any higher. Average position over the twelve seasons is 15th. I will try and have realistic expectations for 26/27.

Looks like Hayden is off. He put out an Instagram message suggesting so because that’s what people do nowadays rather than read it on teletext.
