The CPS saying John Terry should be charged means ****. The maximum sentence for the offence is a fine of £2,500.

I wonder if the FA will justify a lack of further fine and/or suspension due to the fact that the matter will have been dealt with in a court of law......

I see it as two seperate things. If he is found guilty in court then the FA will have to ban him for at least 8 games same as Suarez, he certainly shouldn't represent England again.

Surely he should get a harsher ban than Suarez?? Suarez said an offensive term whereas JT was flat out racist. To be honest, If John had come out and said "I did in fact use racially charged language due to being in the heat of the moment and I deeply regret what I had said" I would have probably had some respect for him. In the heat of the moment we all say things but the fact he is covering it up means he really needs to fry for this and it was not on the heat of the moment (or badly advised). Chelsea don't exactly need him anyway, I have always had him down as an overrated player

On the vid you can see him mouthing what appears to be "black ****" or "blind ****". Personally, I think it was the former but I do not think he is a racist, it was an offensive comment but I do not think he has any hatred against Anton because of his skin colour.

EDIT: I do not condone what Terry did

Innocent until proven guilty for me. All the CPS are saying is that they feel he has a case to answer and it represents a fair chance of getting a conviction based on the evidence they have. Terry will have said very little so far and it is only now is solicitors will go to work. I've seen the video but it is pretty inconclusive to be honest. I think they'll struggle to get that conviction based on the video evidence I've seen, which leads me to think they must have more (sound possibly?) concrete evidence

The difference is that Suarez admitted saying what he said even though he denied knowing it was offensive.

Terry has denied ever saying what he has been accused of, hey, I think we've all said things in the heat of the moment that we don't mean or regret. If I ever do that then I hold my hands up & say, "look mate, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, I apologize man."

That in my eyes go's a long way as it takes a bigger man to admit he was wrong than one who just denies his wrong doing.

Of course we have to remember that Terry has not yet been found guilty but if & I stress if, he is, then he's just going to make himself look an even bigger ****.

And as has already been stated, the maximum punishment the court could give is a £2500 fine.

Can't see the FA adding to it can you?
