Match Preview;
Final game of the season, nothing to play for, and a game in the far east vs automatic promotion chasing Ipswich Town. If we win it'll at least mean we don't finish the season with six games without a win...our last victory came against Watford on April 3rd, so it'd be great not to end the season with a whole month without a win. Otherwise, the only thing to look forward to is a farewell party for Steve Cook, and probably the last time we'll see a few others in blue and white hoops. I'm sure they'll be a post-season review thread, but the facts speak for themselves...last year we finished on 56 points with 14 wins and 14 draws...and as it stands we have 58 points from 16 wins and 10 draws. It may only be ever-so-slight, but progress is progress. A bit more consistency, and better luck with injuries, and who knows.

As for our hosts, Ipswich have it all to play for. They currently sit 2nd, and have a game in hand against Southampton on Tuesday, but only on goal difference, which is considerably better than 3rd placed Millwall (17 goals better), so a win will almost certainly guarantee them an immediate return to the top flight...no mean feat given one of the other two relegated from the Premiership last year, Leicester, have done the double drop. Their top scorer is former R loanee, Jack Clarke, on 15 goals...but as a team they've scored 75, only bettered by Southampton and Coventry. Their manager, Kieran McKenna, has been in charge at Portman Road for four a half years, and has achieved two promotions in that time, guiding them from League One straight to the Premiership, before relegation last year. I'm pleased to see he has, despite some highs and lows, been given time to build his own team, and hasn't been fired as soon as relegation loomed. He's been given time to build a squad, and manage that squad through highs and lows...a lesson we can probably learn from.

Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you're making the trip on Saturday, and as always...

...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Not even sure I should bother watching this one. What team will turn up? I probably will watch it, though. To be fair, last match was a good performance and enjoyable watching.

It's kinda sad that I'm not too fussed to watch our last game of season.

Sod's law, I bet we get a great ref this match and we get a generous penalty or something like that, now that it's too ****ing late to benefit us in any way.

More fun if Southampton get at least a draw tonight. Would be fun to be party poopers on Saturday, which we won’t be, but would be nice to have a chance rather than a dead rubber for their promotion party.

Well there you go...only the most optimistic Millwall fan could surely hope for any magic from us at the weekend though. We usually stick to the script
