No I just support the team, and hope we'll win. I've never said we'll finish top 5 recently cos we blatantly won. I said we had a chance of Europe prior to the last 4 games, cos we clearly did.

I just don't seek validation for saying we're going to rubbish - that becomes cringey, ie the working out how we were going to go down at HT.

You stopped counting the gap to 5th not long ago when the penny finally dropped. It's been like watching an episode of Dr counts sesame Street from you this season,

Stop worrying about what other people say the situation is maybe... You're on every match thread picking fights every week...you're as bad as anyone but you don't even appear to realise you're doing it.

I agree we played well Today.

Woltemade. Comes, plays as a 10 and a delicious pass in for Wissa.

Woltemade - nutmegs an Arsenal player on the touchline, carries the ball forward...

Ditch the ****ing 4-3-3. Woltemade is the creative spark we lack in the middle. Our wingers are w a n k.

Elanga - get rid.

3 games with no midweek games and 3 defeats, 3 defeats since Hopkinson said he expected an excellent end to the season.

Lose to Brighton and it will turn nasty towards him in the ground (i'm going and i won't be one of them but it was bubbling up v Bournemouth)

Announce he is leaving at the end of the season before Saturday, or let him go before it, and that will be avoided.

It is time for change, for all parties involved.

Yep another loss... The excuses being used have all been exhausted.

Elanga is going to be here and Howe is going to get rid of Woltemade I think

Any half decent team get's at least a draw today, Arsenal were awful and we couldn't capitalize.

Post-match is like we don't ****ing exist. This is the thing, and why I get SO frustrated with "Howe in" - we are ****ing nothing, we're meaningless, try-hard wannabes. Nobody takes us seriously. We're one dimensional, easy to work out, a sideshow for the main event of the PL.

And yet people want Howe to stay. I read something on the "other" forum - some delusional moron saying Howe will leave and get a big job, then they'll be really upset watching him win trophies. Are you ****ing mental? Or just stupid? Who bigger than us is taking Howe on? Howe is a mid-level manager, or lower, limited & flawed. He has pinnacled with Newcastle, no question, but there's no next level for him. He's better than many but nowhere - and I mean NOWHERE - near the top of the stack. Christ, Guardiola even ripped the piss earlier this season but all the Eddie sympathisers just glossed over it!

We are beaten before we ever set foot on the pitch. Hence why I'm terrified relegation might yet still happen. It would be extraordinary, but we're THAT bad, it's still possible. Mathematically it's not even close to impossible.

Hopkinson said he expected an excellent end of season, he's going to look like a mug now if he keeps Howe.

I think Howe is going to be given more money and next season will be his last if it goes tits up.

I personally think a change in manager would see instant improvement. We're absolutely ****e right now, so it's hardly going to get worse is it.

Missed the match as watching my son play cricket. How did we play?

Better but Arsenal were there for the taking and we were just powder puff as soon as we got near their box, switched off at a corner and that was the difference.

Some run Howe has put together, those on here said he would, so fair play!

Why is literally the only thing ever on your mind a Howe In vs Howe Out debate?

He's another way to think - this season's been ****, but the last few years have been amazing, let's just write off this season because (whether you want to argue otherwise) we're staying up, and next season will be a new start whoever the manager is.

Thanks. I did have Gabriel to score as compensation. I thought it would be 4-0 so 1-0 is something I guess. Brighton our bogey team next. If we lose that one, I think St James will turn on Howe and that will be the end.

Brighton beat Newcastle imo... They have a style of play that's way more advanced than our sides...we might have a little go with it being at home, but if Brighton get past the 1st 20 they'll start hurting us as usual...
